Aiming to manage costs and avoid design creep, it far exceeds the constructability reviews sometimes used in other construction contracts. When combined with other leading techniques, such as LEAN (or value-based) construction, Building Information Modelling (BIM), expert IPD coaching, and a closely engaged ownership group, the result is nearmagic. As the first two Canadian IPD builds near completion at St. Jerome’s University Campus (Waterloo, ON) and Five Hills Regional Hospital (Moose Jaw, SK), NWTAA is pleased to welcome four IPD pioneers to Yellowknife to discuss their roles as Owner, Designer, Builder and Lawyer. This not-to-miss workshop will provide plenty of opportunity to understand all aspects of Integrated Project Delivery, from start to finish. Join four experts in a full discussion and dissection of this new procurement method: David Dow, Principal Diamond Schmitt Architects Darren Becks, Vice-President St. Jerome’s University Art Winslow, Lean IPD Director Graham Group Ltd. Jeannine Tse, Corporate Counsel Stantec Consulting Ltd. Registration information is now online at www.nwtaa.ca.
