PRELUDE LAKE AND REID LAKE TERRITORIAL PARKS
EXTENDED STAY CAMPSITE DRAW
ST. PATRICK’S HIGH SCHOOL GYM – APRIL 12, 2015
REGISTRATION 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
DRAW – 1:30 PM
COMPLETING YOUR BALLOT:
1. In order to complete a ballot and enter your name in the draw you will need to provide the
following:
o Photo ID
o Your camper (or RV or truck camper) registration
o The License plate number of your unit.
o Certified cheque or money order in the amount of $525.00 or if you get a full season two
cheques or money orders for $525.00 each. Make your cheques payable to Reid Lake
Park. Even if you want a site at Prelude the payee should still be Reid Lake Park.
2. On the ballot, please check which park you would prefer or if you will take a site in either
Prelude or Reid.
3. Choose the dates you wish to camp. If you choose “I will accept any dates” you can pick either
the first half or the second half of the season.
If you do not check off a park and date, then we will assume you are prepared to take any park
at any time.
4. Next, check off the sites you DO NOT want.
If your ballot is drawn and a chosen site is still available, you MUST pick a site or you forfeit
your ballot and registration. NO DECLINES OR REFUNDS!
If none of your chosen sites are available when your name is drawn, your cheque/money order
will be returned after completion of the draw.
ENTERING YOUR BALLOT:


When your payment has been received and receipted your ballot will be dropped into the ballot
drum.
Ballots may be entered anytime between 12 noon and 1:30 pm.
DRAW:
The following extended stay campsite permits will be issued for the 2014 camping season:

20 permits for Prelude Lake for the period May 15 to July 15 ($525 GST incl.);
20 permits for Prelude Lake for the period July 16 to September 15 ($525 GST incl.);
20 permits for Reid Lake for the period May 15 to July 15 ($525 GST incl.);
20 permits for Reid Lake for the period July 16 to September 15 ($525 GST incl.);
10 permits for Reid Lake for the period May 15 to September 15 ( 2 x $525 GST incl.).
The first name drawn gets to choose one site and date at either Prelude Lake or Reid Lake or
one of ten full season sites at Reid. The second name drawn picks a park, site and date etc.
The draw will continue until either all sites or dates are allocated or until all the names have
been drawn.
If you wish to book additional time before or after your permit you will need to use the online
reservations system. www.nwtparks.ca . Sites will be available on a first-come first-serve basis
starting on April 15th.
WAITING LIST:
The Extended Stay Sites are non-transferable. For this reason, a waiting list of up to ten names will
be drawn to accommodate a situation where a permit holder is unable to utilize their site. No refund will
be given.




Names will be drawn after the draw.
If a permit holder cannot utilize their site it will be offered to the first person on the waiting list for
a price proportionate to the amount of time remaining on the permit and is payable to Industry,
Tourism and Investment. If the first person on the waiting list does not want it, the site will be
offered to the second person etc.
Refunds to the original permit holder will not be made.
