Camping Information
Lake Taghkanic State Park, offers a beautiful
backdrop for a camping vacation. There are over 60
campsites, available for rent in season.
Each campsite has a picnic table / bench and a fire
ring. Shower facilities and comfort stations are
centrally located for your convenience, as well as
water fountains. Up to two medium sized tents are
allowed at each campsite.
Campers must check-in at the West Beach Office
prior to setting up. Quiet hours are observed daily
from 10:00 PM until 7:00 AM, and are strictly
enforced.
All campers must abide by the rules and regulations
set forth by the New York State Office of Parks,
Recreation & Historic Preservation regarding good
camping manners.

Prices & Schedule
2015 Season
Camp Store - The Camp Store is located just off the
Campground Parking Lot and is open seasonally. The
store sells items such as firewood, ice, worms for
fishing, charcoal and lighter fluid, candy, snacks,
drinks, ice cream, clothing, misc. camping supplies
and more! All sales are Cash Only, no credit cards.

Cabin & Cottage Information
Each cabin & cottage has the following amenities: an
electric stove, refrigerator (at least 10 cubic ft.), screenedin porch, picnic table as well as a fire-ring. Units range
from 1 to 4 bedrooms. Patrons must provide all
utensils, cooking ware, linens & pillows in standard
cottages / cabins. NO PETS ALLOWED.
Cabins– Our rustic cabins are located in woods at the
east end of the park, beyond the camping area. Each
unit has a small kitchen, running water (most only have
cold water), a fireplace, and indoor toilet. There is a
centrally located shower house.
Cottages—Are located at the
west end of the park along the
lake shore. Each unit has a
kitchen, hot & cold water and a
bathroom with shower. Some
have electric heat, or a fireplace.
These units have a drywall
interior.
Full–Service Vacation Cottages - Four of our
cottages (C-157, 158, 167 & 171) have the luxuries of
home. Additional amenities include : Eating /cooking
utensils, pots & pans, glassware,
microwave, deluxe furniture,
electric heat, coffee maker, toaster,
radio/clock, carpeted or hardwood
floors, sofa, bed. Access Passes
are not valid for renting these
units. A $100 condition deposit is due upon check-in.
