Weekly items: Principal’s Report School Matters Parent Group Student Showcase SOSC News Community News Last Friday we encouraged students and families to participate in the ‘Walk Safely to School day. It was wonderful to see that more than half of our children walked to school on that day. Even more pleasing were the reports from parents that the car park was a lot less busy. Thank you to everyone who walked to school on this day! On Wednesday night, the school council met. The topics for discussion were the amazing school fete, the carpark, the proposed new artroom, toilet quotas and my upcoming meeting the local mayor, Paul Klisaris. Working Bee dates were set for Friday 12th June and Sunday 14th June. Please save the date! Ron SCHOOL MATTERS Dear Parent's, As you know from previous Newsletters I have been promoting children participating in a ball sport out of school hours. As I only see your child for 50 min a week, this is insufficient if your child is to be more than competent at most ball sports. Taking the Prep children in ball throwing and catching this past week, it was very evident, the children who participate in Auskick, as they were a lot more advanced than their peers.
