Ocean Stainless was initially incorporated 11 years ago to offer high quality stainless steel fittings and fabricated elements to the international
yachting industry. Based in Taiwan to maximize the value for money in these highly labor intensive one-off elements, Martyn Castelein, President,
soon realized that his company had much more to offer the yachting industry.
Drawing on his background of high-end yacht construction in both New Zealand and the Netherlands, Martyn set about developing his company
into one that could respond to the needs of the yachting industry, not only in stainless steel railings and fittings, but in the highly precise and increasingly complicated and demanding area of electro-hydraulic outfitting. Working with European and North American designers, he undertook
an initial series of projects which included providing passerelles, cranes, shell doors, and platforms to European, New Zealand, and US clients.
Demand for these products and the cost efficiencies that result from building in Taiwan soon led Ocean Stainless to take on larger and more complex projects, which now include shell doors, swim platforms, boarding platforms, and complicated shell openings.
Ocean Stainless is able to complete these projects successfully using International designers sharing design files with the latest 3D modeling
software. Ocean Stainless, using its own engineers, then turns these models into actual buildable products for the shipyards. All of the electro-hydraulic components are thoroughly tested before assembly, and the entire structure is set-up and run through all of its actions to the satisfaction
of the external project manager, and class authorities depending on the requirement.
From it’s inception, Ocean Stainless has grown from strength to strength initially fabricating stainless steel components, from manufacturing
passerelles, cranes and sliding doors, and now designing and building, in collaboration with the international yachting industry, the highly complex
shell doors, cranes, platforms that are becoming the standard on modern yachts.

LEDing Light specializes in high performance, innovative designs for
yacht and marine LED lighting, making our LED based lighting products a welcomed upgrade to conventional halogen and fluorescent
lighting. Our products offer a power reduction of up to 75% over conventional yacht lighting.
For example, an average sized Westport Yacht has 200+ traditional
light bulbs which alone can have up to a 60 amp demand with all of
the lights on! Consider that a 20 watt MR16 halogen bulb generates
17,000 BTU’s in just 24hrs. This ends up resulting in an considerable
3,400,000 BTU’s! If you take a 20 watt halogen bulb and multiply
that by 200, the result is an incredible amount of heat generated in
twenty four hours!
