Essential Oils for Summertime
Activities
Enhanced Concealed Weapons
Get informed and learn what your
rights are when it comes to carrying a
gun. This preparatory class, instructed
by Sgt. Dave Kiger, will cover the gun
laws in Idaho, responsible firearm
ownership, and safety issues. Four
hours of practical instruction at the
shooting range on Saturday will
emphasize trigger control, target
alignment, and holster requirements.
You must furnish your own gun that is
in compliance with concealed weapon
laws, along with ammunition, safety
glasses, and ear protection. Upon
successful completion of the class, you
will be provided with a Certificate of
Completion and all the forms you
need to apply for a concealed weapons
permit at the sheriff’s office. Do not
bring your firearm onto the CSI/ISDB
campus Students must be age 21 or older
to participate.

Summertime activities that you love
so well can leave you with some
unwanted and unpleasant issues.
Essential oils can sooth sunburns, bug
bites, scratches, and other common
outdoor maladies. Essential oils can
also repel bugs and other unwanted
pests without using dangerous
chemicals. This class is a perfect
opportunity to learn how essential
oils can be used as natural solutions
for your family’s unwanted summer
surprises.

Essential Oils and Palliative Care
Palliative care is the term used to
describe the treatment patients receive
to relieve the symptoms, pain, and
stress associated with serious and endof-life illness. When we have loved
ones in this situation, we want to do
everything we can to make that person
as comfortable as possible. In this
class, learn more about palliative and
hospice care while learning how to
incorporate essential oils to relax and
ease the discomfort for the individual
and family members.

to find and use the basic functions
of a computer. You will learn how
to navigate the inner workings of the
search bar such as: “My Computer”,
“My Documents” and “My Pictures”
as well as the basics of Microsoft Word
and everyday email.

Computer
This class is for people that love to
take digital photos and need some
help emailing, storing, and organizing
their albums. No more standing in
line to get copies of your pictures and
never misplace your memories again.
Students must bring their camera, its
USB cord, and a saving device to the
class.

Yoga for Everyone
Don’t let your brain and body turn to
mush over the summer. Strengthen
your muscles while rejuvenating your
spirit. Yoga encourages a mind-body
connection that helps with focus,
balance, and strength. The benefits
of practicing yoga include greater
flexibility, better posture, stronger
body alignment, improved respiration,
and relaxation. Individuals of all
fitness levels and ages 12+ are
welcome. Please bring your own mat.

Travel to Italy with your taste buds. You will learn to appreciate the wines of
Italy as your instructor, Marguerite Janes, touches on the major wine regions
and special grape varieties native to Italy. To get the most out of this class,
students should already have a knowledge base of wine tasting and terms. Prior
attendance at the Wine Appreciation class recommended though not required.

Adventures in Animal Anatomy
Ages 10-14
Do you love animals? Do you want
to learn how a pig’s heart works,
about the digestive system of cows,
or the nervous system of a sheep?
This hands-on class will give you a
chance to dissect, discover, and see
first-hand the special traits that make
animal’s bodies so unique. Join CSI
Biology Professor Bill Ebener during
this two-session class and be prepared
to learn the basics of animal anatomy.
Careful procedures will be followed
and students will be supervised at all
times.
