openly gay Asian American community member and politician, Alex is also featured in
the 2013 documentary, Breaking Through, which features openly gay politicians from
around the nation. Listen to his experiences, advice and
how he navigates his identity. This event is a collaboration
between BLISS and GLBT-CA from the At Home in the
World grant. Light refreshments will be provided.
I, Too, Am NC State

From 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the NC State Brickyard, participate in “I, too, am
NC State.” AAPI students are often left out of discussions regarding diversity and
inclusion as they are often perceived as a "model minority." All AAPI students are
invited to participate in having their photos taken as part of the "I, too, am NC
State" photography campaign.
If you are a person with a disability and need accommodations to attend, please contact Natalie Nguyen at 919-513-9742 as soon as possible.
