ABOUT THE FACILITY DECISION PROCESS
 Lease in Atkins Building expires June 30, 2015
 Procurement Process – began in mid-2014
 Review of the two viable proposals – select M2 as the
proposal that best meets OLLI’s needs and strategic plan
OLLI at M2 Building
With the generous support of the University of
Illinois’ Office of the Provost and the funding
provided by the Osher Endowment, OLLI will move to
its new location in summer 2015.

8,000 square feet
OLLI will continue to offer the same highquality courses, study groups, and programs
that you currently enjoy.
The expanded space will also offer
opportunities for new educational and
engagement activities.

CLASSROOMS and SEMINAR SPACES
- One large classroom – 150+ (can also be
divided into 2 classrooms seating 65-70 each)
– construction on this space is underway
- One classroom – capacity 65
- Two study group/seminar rooms – flexible
- A board/committee meeting room

space, and meeting area will
have the appropriate
furnishings and audio-visual
equipment for its size and
configuration.
The space will also be
equipped with wireless
Internet access – both U of I
password-protected Wi-Fi
and open-access Wi-Fi
(no password needed).

create the 65-seat classroom
Carpeting will be added to this space, and
it will be available for study groups and
variable classroom set-ups
This space will remain un-carpeted, for use by
both study groups and classes, including those
that involve movement (tai chi, etc.)

In addition to the fully accessible public and classroom
spaces, the new facility also offers expanded administrative
space –including staff offices and secure storage space for
files, supplies, and technology.

The M2 location offers easy access to the University
of Illinois campus, public transportation, and many
restaurants, coffee shops, parks, and other downtown
amenities.
HILL STREET PARKING DECK

Parking is covered, well-lit, and secure.
• Parking is available
on all 6 levels of the
garage, and elevators
are located on all
levels.
• OLLI is on the second
floor of M2.
The entrance from the
parking garage leads
directly to a hallway,
and to OLLI’s offices.
GETTING TO OLLI FROM PARKING GARAGE
• A separate entrance is
located on Neil Street,
and the elevator there
leads directly to the
OLLI entrance.

• Pay as you go, with your parking ticket validated by
OLLI each time you come to class or an event.
• Pre-paid coupon book, with each coupon good for 2
hours of parking in the Hill Street Parking Deck

automatically charged to your designated credit card
