Our goal is to have the new 2020 Tokyo Olympic flame burn with biomethane!

The garbage was concentrated from the area by residents
on their own.

For 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympics, biomethane will be
produced using small or micro methane fermentation systems
For flame of Olympic cauldron
Small system; 50 m3 size of methane fermentation system
Biogas → refining → gas pipe → flame of Olympic cauldron
We will produce biomethane for 1.5 years using 50 m3 size of methane
fermentation system.
In advance , the required amount of gas is supplied biomethane to the gas line.
In the actual stage, natural gas will be burnt instead of biogas.
For flame of Olympic torch
Micro system:1.4 m3 size of methane fermentation system
Biogas →(refining) → stock →filling gas to torch
We will produce biomethane using micro systems.
We can use biomethane for flame of Olympic torch directly.

Torch
8 micro system will be set on each area in Japan.
Producing biogas→refining→stock→torch
Micro methane fermentation
systems will be set on each area.
The biogas for runner in the area
will be produced at the same area.
If 8 systems will be set in Japan, we
can produce biogas for 8000 pieces
of torch within a half year .
Area for a micro system need only 30 m2
(Biogas system and stock area).
In many parts of the world,
biomethane will be produced at each area.
At each area, energy for Olympic flame will be produced by
your action.

A New bottle to stock biomethane
The bottle was made from a pet
bottle and CLAIST®.
(AIST, NISSEI ASB MACHINE CO. LTD.,
CHUGOKU KOUGYOU CO. LTD.,
MIYAGIKASEI Co.,Ltd.)
CLAIST® is a film material, which is
superior in heat-resistance and high
gas barrier properties to conventional
materials.
Only 3 kg bottle !
We can stock biomethane
under low pressure conditions.
No need credential to fill biogas into this bottle.

A New torch system!
A small , light-weight product is needed for torch.
However , methane does not liquefy under outside temperature and low
pressure.
So it is difficult to reduce the volume of methane to a torch size.
Now, we make a proposal of a new torch system!
