New / Updated Rules • The Strike zone Mat will be used in all leagues and in all divisions. (SPN and SPO rules) • Teams will be responsible for bringing a strike zone mat to every home game (same as bases) • Coed Player ratio is now 6 male / 4 female for all leagues and all divisions • Coed batting – no more than 2 males can bat in a row at any point in the order. What’s the call? • Infield Fly • Less than 2 out, runners on first and second with a ball hit in the air caught with normal effort by an infielder results in the batter being automatically called out and the runners may advance at their own risk • Ball Thrown out of play • If a ball is thrown out of play, all baserunners are awarded 2 bases at the time of the throw. If a player is tagging up from a base and the ball is thrown out of play, the runner is awarded 2 bases not including the one they were tagging up from. I.E. tagging up from first would mean you were awarded 3rd base, tagging up from second would award you home plate. Default Policy $100 Default deposit required with registration • What is a “Default” game? • No Show (not enough players) for both games • No Calls – SLOPITCH.com HQ (Before 2:30 same day) Note: it’s not a default if a game is ended due to player ejections What happens with the Money? • • • First offense: $50 of the money goes to the opposing team Second offense: Same thing Third offense: Team is removed from league (No refunds) Note: If no defaults occur, Deposit is returned to the team or kept for the following season.
