of the Clinton Islamic Center.
This is his fourth presidency in
the past 12 years.
Ansari is one of the founding
members of the Islamic Society
of Clinton County, which was
formed after his arrival in 1999.
As president of the center,
Ansari has built up good relationships with area organizations such as the Sisters of St.
Francis, the Martin Luther King
Committee and the Victory
Center. This year, the center is
planning a picnic and free community open house.

motorcycle ride
The Women’s Choice Center
of the Quad-Cities will host
its second “Ride for Life,” a
destination motorcycle ride to
Galena, Ill., on Saturday, June 7.
The ride will begin and end
at the Women’s Choice Center,
2711 Happy Joe Drive, Bettendorf. Registration begins at
8 a.m. with the ride at 9. There
will be no early registration.
There will be three prize
drawings, held at the beginning
of the ride, in Galena and at the
end of the ride. As an entry fee,
