Youth Tractor Safety Education, Training &
Certification Course

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
8:00 am to 4:30 pm daily
Available through partnerships with OSU Extension Jefferson County 4-H and local equipment dealers
The Youth Tractor Safety Education, Training, and Certification Course is a 24-hour program
designed to teach safe and responsible use of tractors, tractor implements, and machinery operation.
It offers both classroom and hands-on tractor driving and skills experiences for youth ages 14-17 who
are interested in employment in Oregon’s agricultural industry.

Cost $75/participant (non-refundable), which includes National Safe Tractor and Machinery
Operation Program Manual, reusable water bottle, snacks and drinks. (Students will also
receive T-shirt and Certificate after completion on Weds.)

Pre-Registration is required by June 5, 2015. Class size is limited to 20 students

Students must be 14 by June 22, 2015. 4-H / FFA membership not required.

Classes held at Jefferson County Rod & Gun Club, 2353 NW Clackamas Drive, Madras, OR.

Participants must attend all sessions to receive certification.
