SENIORS! IT IS TIME TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ON NAVIANCE FAMILY CONNECTION
PRIOR TO GRADUATION!
1. Please check to see if you owe Transcript Fees on Naviance Family Connection.

If you owe money, please pay on the ORHS Webstore.
2. Complete the Senior Exit Survey (this is required by CISD for graduation).

Click the "About Me" tab on Naviance Family Connection.
Click on the "senior survey" link
3. Order your FINAL TRANSCRIPT to be sent to the school you will be attending! Instructions are listed in
the updates section on Naviance Family Connection Main Page. Don't forget to order a Final Transcript
from LoneStar - Montgomery if you are in Dual Credit. Athletes - don't forget to order a final transcript for
NCAA.
If you have any questions or problems, please visit the College & Career Center(Room B202).
SENIORS! IT IS TIME TO PREPARE FOR SENIOR AWARDS NIGHT! THE PROGRAM IS GOING TO THE PRINTER
SOON! We want to honor you! Senior Awards Night is Thursday, May 28th at 7:00 in the ORHS gymnasium (new gym). If you
have received any scholarships (either college or university merit scholarship, athletic scholarships, or private scholarships)
please bring proof of the scholarship to the College & Career Center – even if you are not going to accept the scholarship. If
you have enlisted with the Military please come to the College & Career Center and let us know! Please find a form to complete
at the end of this article. Please attach your scholarship proof to the form and return to the CCC ASAP! If you have already
turned in the form just bring the proof of scholarship. Thank you Seniors!!
JUNIORS! IT IS TIME TO REGISTER FOR CISD DESTINATION COLLEGE! Destination College will be June 11 from 8 AM – 4
PM at College Park High School. The Registration fee is $25 (payable to TWHS). The sessions will include: College
Applications, Essay Writing, Finding the Right Fit, How to Pay for College, College 101. There will be a student panel of
former students providing wonderful insight. There will also be a mini college fair to students and parents. Space is
limited! Please find a registration form at the end of this article. You can also come to the College & Career Center to pick
one up. Return the application a fee payment to the College & Career Center.
FEATURED SCHOLARHIPS WITH UPCOMING DEADLINES!
Tall Pines Quilt Guild Scholarship for Future Math Teachers – Due 5/22 - $1,000
Seniors only. A major in math education was selected due to the extreme need for mathematics educators and because as quilters we
utilize math in all our work. Only those students intending to major in Math Education will be considered. Application can be
downloaded and typed using the "application form" link on Naviance. Two letters of recommendation, essay, and official transcript are
required. Deadline is a "received by" deadline. Deadline was extended to May 22, 2015.
Tall Pines Quilt Guild Proficiency in Sewing Scholarship –Due 5/22 - $1,000
Seniors only. Proficiency in sewing was selected since we are a sewing organization whose purpose is “to foster appreciation of fine
quilts and of quilting. No specific major is required – only a demonstration of proficiency in sewing - a photograph of any sewing project
should be included with the application. Application can be downloaded and typed using the "application form" link on Naviance. Two
letters of recommendation, essay and official transcript are required. Deadline is a "received by" deadline. Deadline was extended to
May 22, 2015.
