Lyra, Bon Bon 'and others' to appear in Friendship is Magic
spin-off
The popular My Little Pony 'background' characters Lyra, Bon Bon and many others are to star
in a spin-off of the Friendship is Magic franchise, it has been announced today (Saturday 13
June).
The new show, currently referred to as 'Project Delivery', will air the first of its 13 episodes in
Q1 2016.
'Project Delivery' will occupy an 11 minute slot during prime-time and will target 'a different
demographic' to the 'flagship' show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
“Fans of all ages were asking for this for a long time,” said Martine Leland, CEO of Hasbro
Inc.'s Educational Development Initiative (EDI). “'Project Delivery' will focus on a different
demographic to the popular children's franchise My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, which has
become a flagship property with global influence.
“Characters many are familiar with are set to appear in 'Project Delivery', such as Lyra, Bon
Bon and others. A new voice cast of industry professionals will be bringing these characters
and their zany antics to life.”
'Project Delivery' is also under consideration as part of Hasbro Inc.'s upcoming releases in the
'toys-to-life' range, including collectable My Little Pony figurines that are compatible with
future software in development.
Leland added: “With My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic recently airing its 100th episode and
enduring sustained popularity in its fifth season, we have seen an upsurge in audiences who
cannot get enough of this universe. 'Project Delivery' will add a whole new dimension -- quite
literally -- to this much loved world.”
0.51 million viewers on April 4, 2015 watched the "The Cutie Map - Part 1" live on Discovery
Family with a Domestic Family Consideration (DFC) rating of 'A'.
