Art in the Park On behalf of the City of Ormond Beach Department of Leisure Services and Ormond Memorial Art Museum, you are invited to join other artists in the 43rd annual Art in the Park, sponsored by Hometown News, Beach 92.7FM, The Daytona Beach News-Journal, Florida Health Care Plans, Preferred Business Group, LLC and Bright House Networks. We are pleased to host the festival in the spacious Rockefeller Gardens at The Casements, located on the beautiful Halifax River, 25 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach. This highly visible location on the southeast corner of the Granada Bridge is home to such successful events as the Independence Day Celebration, the Native American Festival and River Fest. Upon acceptance into the show you will receive a welcome letter that will include day-of registration instructions. Art in the Park 2015 Prizes & Awards $3,500 Total prizes & awards Best of Show (Fine Arts) - $1,500 For both art and craft categories: First Place - $400 & Ribbon x2 Second Place - $300 & Ribbon x2 Merit Award - $200 & Ribbon x2 Honorable Mention- $100 & Ribbon x2 Art in the Park Rules & Regulations 1) Art in the Park maintains the right to review all displays and inspect all art work to insure that they are in accordance with festival rules and that the art work is as represented by the application. The committee reserves the right to remove any work exhibited during the show for non-compliance of Rules and Regulations. 2) ONLY artists and crafters displaying their own ORIGINAL work may participate. Art in the Park Rules & Regulations cont. 3) No Commercial type items allowed: Not limited to Tshirts, posters, mass-produced goods and other items not created solely by the artist are prohibited. 4) All exhibitors need to check in at the registration tent prior to set-up. Once exhibitor location is provided, unload your vehicle, move vehicles to assigned parking area immediately, then return to set up your display. Parking and loading space is limited. 5) All tents must be “Fire Retardant” w/ manufacturing tag and provide own means of display racks, tables, chairs, etc., strong enough to withstand crowds, wind and weather. 6) Exhibit area is located outside. Most 10x10 exhibit sites are on grass or concrete. Please bring additional means for securing tents for all weather conditions. Securing stakes must be limited to 2ft long. 7) Confine display to 10x10 space, or purchase additional space. 8) Man booth during all show hours. 9) Pre-Setup starts on Friday from 12noon - 7pm and is highly recommended! Additional set up time is Saturday morning from 6am - 9am. 10) Exhibitors must be set up by 9:00 am Sat. and exhibit removed by 6pm Sun. 11) Upon acceptance exhibitor is committed to show both days - Saturday & Sunday. 12) We regret no refunds will be given for nonappearance, weather, cancellation and removal from show for non-compliance. 13) Each exhibitor is responsible for collecting and reporting 6.5% sales tax to the State of Florida. 14) Judging will take place Saturday beginning at 10:30am. Awards and ribbons will be presented on Sunday at 10:30am. 15) The City of Ormond Beach, Ormond Memorial Art Museum, volunteers and sponsors assume no liability for lost, stolen or damaged articles. Any exhibit items, artwork, racks, tables, etc., left in the park overnight is at your own risk. Security will be on hand day & night. 16) Art in the Park will set entry limits to participating exhibitors. These limits will help maintain a quality Arts & Crafts show with a variety of mediums. These Limits are as follows: 50% Fine Artists, 50% Crafters and with 20% of total show to Jewelry exhibitors. Once limits are reached a waiting list will be made for each category. Art in the Park has sold out the past 5 years! Don’t wait! Parking Instructions Daily Exhibitor parking for Saturday and Sunday is in Fortunato Park, 2 John Anderson Dr., located on the northeast corner of the Granada Bridge. This will allow more patrons at the main event parking area at Rockefeller Gardens/The Casements. Disabled parking with permit is located in the main event parking lot. All exhibitors need to check in at the registration tent prior to set-up. Once exhibitor location is provided, unload your vehicle, move vehicles to assigned parking area immediately, then return to set up your display. Parking and loading space is limited. Each of the undersigned hereby assumes full responsibility for, and risk of bodily injury, death and/or property damage due to the negligence of the City, volunteers or sponsors. Further, each of the undersigned expressly agrees not to make any claim, suit, action or other demand for damages against the City for any bodily injury, death or property damage resulting, in whole or part from the negligence of the City whether occurring before or after the date this Release and Waiver of Liability is signed: ANY AND ALL SUCH CLAIMS, SUITS, ACTIONS AND DEMANDS AGAINST THE CITY BEING HEREBY EXPRESSLY AND IRREVOCABLY RELEASED AND WAIVED REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE.
