SIGN IN RENTAL AGREEMENT, RELEASE OF LIABILITY & ASSUMPTION OF RISKS
PADDLE OR PEDAL - Quiet Waters Park / Jonas Green Park Locations
I, the renter, am well aware of the inherent hazards in kayaking, canoeing, pedal boating, and other water, land boarding or bicycling recreational activities. I acknowledge and
fully understand that I and any participant who I invite (“invitees”) or include in the use of this equipment will be engaging in activities that involve risk of serious injury, including
disability, or death. I affirm that I have read the posted rules and regulations, and fully understand and agree to abide by them. These rules include:
1) All rental craft will remain within Harness Creek* (QWP), or Severn River* (JGP)
2) Everyone will wear a personal flotation device (pfd) at all times while using the rental watercraft
3) No swimming from the rental craft
4) Safe and responsible boating will be practiced at all times
5) All rental craft operators and invitees will respect private property around the Harness Creek, Quiet Waters Park, Severn River its tributaries, and Jonas Green Park
*Multiple hour rentals for Sit On Top Ocean Kayak(s) may be permitted outside of Harness Creek, or the Severn River, contingent upon renter’s ability, experience, and
staff approval.
I understand that Paddle or Pedal, Quiet Waters Park, Jonas Green Park, and Anne Arundel Counties, its employees and representatives are not responsible for my safety or
that of my invitees. I agree to be fully responsible for my own safety and for the safety of any and all such invitees. I agree to save, to hold harmless, and to indemnify the parties
named above, and its employees and representatives against any claim or lawsuit by me, my family, estate, heirs, assigns, and any and all invitees and others arising out of use
of this equipment. I assume all responsibility for any costs to repair and/or replace any damaged or lost equipment, which is owned by Paddle or Pedal, beyond that which is
considered normal wear and tear. I further assume all responsibility for any injury, including death or disability, and any damage to personal property, which may result to third
parties from the use of the equipment. When the renter is a minor, under age 18, the signature of the minor’s parent/guardian indicates the consent of the renter contained in this
agreement, as if the parent/guardian was the actual renter of the equipment.
