We pray for all Christian leaders and congregations, regardless of denomination or tradition; we ask for blessing on the Persecuted Church throughout the world, and for all who shunned by others for their faith. This week we pray for our companion Diocese of Thika in the Church of Kenya and Julius their Diocesan Bishop. In our own Diocese we pray for the Church of Holy Trinity, Dubai; we give thanks that through governance struggles within the Chaplaincy, both sides have largely continued to worship and minister alongside each other at Holy Trinity. We give thanks for their active programme of outreach to the Migrant labour camps; the volunteers who serve the people who come to their monthly Advice Clinic; and we pray for the newly appointed Local Church Committee as they seek to guide church life during this interim period. In the present crisis times in the Yemen, we pray for the safety of all who live and work in the compound of Christ Church Aden; Mansour the Administrator, the security staff, the doctors and nurses, and the patients who attend the clinics for treatment; may the Light of Christ shine as a beacon of hope into an area experiencing extreme poverty, danger and uncertainty. In our 1 Parish of Paphos, we give thanks for the ministry of the Rev’d Nic, the Rev’d Andrew and the Rev’d Marian during a busy but wonderful Holy Week; and now at the foot of the cross let us give thanks for a glorious Easter tide, and ask for your blessing Lord on the future ministry of our parish. Please remember in your prayers the family and friends of Ronald George Taylor whose funeral takes place tomorrow.
