Acting from the Ground Up

A fabulously fun international award-winning musical
based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde JR.,
follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles
stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her
dreams. Adapted for younger performers and based
on the popular movie, this show features an upbeat
original score that's sure to leave cast members and
audiences alike seeing pink!
Everyone will receive a part in the show.
A snack will be provided. Those staying
for a full day will need to bring lunch.
Campers should wear comfortable clothing.

Barnyard Dance

Get ready to have a hoe down as we explore the
farm using music, dance, drama, storytelling and
crafts.
Drawing

Anyone can draw. It is a skill that can be taught.
This camp is an intensive exploration in realistic
drawing for students who want to know the secrets
and skills required to produce realistic drawing and
illustrations. The instructor will give students individualized instruction and help with portfolio development.
Modeling

Learn how to walk the runway and tips on being a
model. Learn makeup application and how to
achieve special looks, have pictures made and find
your signature style.

Ashland’s Top Junior Chef!

Chef Sarah will teach you how to be a master chef in your own
home! Learn basic culinary practices and how to make family
friendly cuisine without being CHOPPED! A judged bakeoff will
be held on the final day. Graduates will get their own Chef’s
toque!
Tie-Dye Party

T-shirts, socks, art projects and more will be tie-dyed using a
variety of methods and types of tie-dye.
Dancing Through Time

Every time period has a dance style associated with it. Learn
dances from every decade! The Charleston, Swing, Twist,
Disco, Hip-Hop, Line-Dance and much more!
Painting with Oils

Learn different painting techniques with oil paints.
Flying Origami

Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. Students will
learn the technique of folding the paper to create air planes
and different flying contraptions.

All of your favorite characters from the hit Disney film - Aladdin, Jasmine,
Iago, Jafar, the Genie, and more - are here in Disney's Aladdin KIDS, a
musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem, and flying carpet rides.
Specific to Disney's Aladdin KIDS are the Junior Djinn, a group of unique
stage magicians who execute the magical moments of the show. An
ensemble of marketplace hawkers, gymnasts, wrestlers, bread-sellers,
fishmongers, beggars, cloth vendors, puppeteers, royal guards, royal
trumpeters provides parts for everyone who signs up for this camp. Disney's
Aladdin KIDS 's tuneful, accessible Academy award-winning score features
songs by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice, including "A Whole
New World" and "Friend Like Me".
Week 4: July 13 - 17
Lego Robotics

Ages 4th and 5th grade

Students will work with hands on projects, building, problem
solving, following instructions, programming and exploring using
Lego Mindstorms Robotics. Robotics is a constant opportunity
to solve problems. The combination of engineering and
software problems and solutions creates a dynamic environment that helps participants develop problem-solving skills than
involve math, engineering, physics, and logic as they work
toward tangible goals. The instructor is trained extensively in
lego robotics and coaches robotics competition teams.
Storybook Art

Using popular books, students will create arts and crafts that
will inspire your imagination and creativity.
Playwriting

Let’s Go Camping

camping experience. In this camp we will create arts and crafts
based around the great outdoors.
Hip Hop

most exciting styles. Beginning floor work and creating their own
moves will help students develop loco-motor skills and
self-confidence.
Angelina Ballerina

You will bring the magic of the book series to life as you
become part of the world of Angelina Ballerina. Storytelling,
ballet, arts and crafts, music and drama will be a part of this
camp for the ballerina in every little girl.
Hip Hop

Students will learn classic hip hop moves and the newest and
most exciting styles. Floor work and creating their own moves,
popping, locking and today’s most popular hip hop steps.
