for each class. If your course is canceled due to insufficient registration,

Parent/Caregiver Support Group
Monday, April 27th & May 18th

Our Parent/Caregiver support groups are the perfect outing. Meet
parents who understand what it is like to care for those with special
needs. What makes our groups different from the rest? Every group will
involve an activity; such as painting class, cookie decorating, guest
speakers, etc. Light refreshments will be served at each group.
Sibling Support Group

Ages: 7-11

Having a sibling with a disability is often a challenge for many children.
Sibling Support Group offers these children a safe and encouraging
environment to express themselves and their unique experiences. This
support group will emphasize appropriate emotional expression, common
sibling struggles, and provide coping strategies. Groups will be tailored
to fit the needs and age of the children present. Parent input is
welcomed and skill generalization to the home environment will be
supported.

Our best seller are our custom made weighted blankets.
A weighted blanket can be used as a calming tool or for sleep. The
pressure of the blanket provides proprioceptive input to the brain and
releases a hormone called serotonin which is a calming chemical in the
body. A weighted blanket calms and relaxes a person. Conditions that
benefit from weighted blankets include: Autism, Restless Leg Syndrome,
Alzheimer's, ADHD, Insomnia, Rett Syndrome, general anxiety,

Horrible hair? Need a trim? Change up your routine and try a special
needs friendly haircut. Our stylist will accommodate your child’s needs
by cutting wet or dry. Children also get to enjoy sensory bins, iPad, TV,
weighted lap pads, dynamic seating, and breaks. A room all to
themselves encourages calmness as well. Make a day of it, play and
hang out afterward.

Let us entertain your child for an hour. Our Kid Fun Day classes aim to
teach socialization, creative skills, following directions, and completing a
task. At the end of each class your child will take home their masterpiece
and be able to share with others how it was created. Sessions include a
story, craft time and snack. April we will be focusing on Easter with a visit
from the Easter Bunny and a picture to take home. May we will be
focusing on Mother's Day and how great our mothers are!
Aromatherapy Class

Learn how essential oils can make a large positive impact on your life.
Course material will be given and students will be shown how to use oils
in different ways. Students will also be able to ask specific questions and
get solutions to use essential oils for their specific needs.
Special Needs Trust & Estate Planning

Learn the options and benefits of special needs trusts. Based on the
objectives families have, we will determine how best to protect their loved
ones assets both today and in the future. We will also discuss ways to
structure a proper network of physical, emotional and financial care
taking; to provide the most secure quality of life for them moving forward.

Children will be enriched by our sensory environment while listening to
stories. Our highly structured story time allows children to satisfy their
sensory needs, while enriching them with education stories.
Social Groups
Social skills group will offer your child a supportive, educational,
and fun environment to learn new social skills, expand on innate
abilities, and address current struggles. An emphasis will be
placed on emotional understanding and communication as well
other basic socialization skills. Each class will be tailored to the
abilities and age of your child. Parent input is encouraged and skill
generalization to the home and community will be supported.

Communication
Why sign language?
Children develop motor and communication skills before they learn how to
speak. They learn how to point long before they learn how to say “look”.
Baby Sign Language Class
(2 Classes)
Part 1 (Class): Tuesday, April 14th, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Part 2 (Appointments): Tuesday, April 28th, 9 am – 6 pm or
Thursday, April 30th, 9 am – 6 pm

Wondering what your baby is thinking? Excited and ready to start
communicating with your child? Join us in our uniquely tailored and
personalized baby sign language classes. Our introduction to American
Sign Language is a perfect first step towards teaching your child how to
communicate. This two part class will teach you the basics of American
Sign Language and help you and your child communicate with each
other. In part one parents will come and receive instructions as well as a
workbook for how to incorporate and teach sign language to their babies.
Part two offers a one on one session with parent and child to see how
progress is being made, answer questions, and trouble shoot to make
communication a joy. From here you will have the ability to move onto
our toddler sign language classes to explore more of your child's learning
potentials.
Toddler Sign Language Class

Fee: $200 per person or $325 per couple
Join us in our uniquely tailored and personalized toddler sign language
classes. Our introduction to American Sign Language is geared towards
parents looking to learn American Sign Language, and expand their
child's knowledge. Part 1: This 4 week course will meet once a week for
an hour. Parents will be given the tools to teach their children to sign,
and communicate. We will master concepts such as ABC's, 123's,
colors, shapes, and body parts, as well as some basic communication
vocabulary. Part 2: At the end of the course we will offer a one on one
session with parent and child to see how progress is being made, answer
questions, and trouble shoot to make learning and communication a joy.
