Dear Art Show Applicant,
The Paris Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 19th Annual Mt.
Magazine International Butterfly Festival Saturday June 27,2015 from
10 til 5 pm.
State Park events will occur on Friday & Saturday, June 26 & 27 from 8AM-7PM
and include: butterfly programs, nature walks and the popular “Bug Bonanza.”
Paris Events will begin with The Miss Mt. Magazine Pageant on Friday June 26
at 6 PM at the Middle School Auditorium.
Saturday, June 27nd downtown Paris events will begin with the Motorcycle ralley
hosted by CMA and a 5K Race at 7:30AM. Followed by a Live Butterfly
Release into the Observatory Tent located at the Logan County Fairgrounds at
10:30AM.
The annual Fine Art Show and the Photo Contest and Craft Vendors will present
their crafts on Saturday June 27, 2015 at the Logan County Fairgrounds from 10 –
5 pm.
Enclosed are an Application and the Guidelines for the Art Show if you would like
to join us for the festival. Deadline to return the application is June 15, 2015.

Art Show Guidelines
Location: Logan County Fair Grounds Airport Road

All artists must Preregister
Set-Up:
Set-up Time: Friday June 26th at 2:00pm
Show Time Saturday June 27 10 am to 5 p m
Prizes
There will be 2 age categories. Adult is 19 and over, youth is 18 and under.
Prizes for “Peoples Choice” will be a ribbon and $100- Given to art piece with most votes
Ribbons will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in both youth and adult
$50 will be awarded to both 1st place winners in youth and adult categories
Entry Fee
There is no entry fee to enter your art work.
Rules
Entries will be accepted for original paintings or works of art only. No handcrafts accepted.
“People’s Choice Award” will be given at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. This award will be given to the
art piece/painting having the most votes collected during the show. Make sure to invite family
and friends to attend and vote!
Art Show breakdown will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27th . Please make
arrangements to pick up your art work no later than 5:00 pm.
A display wall will be available for your art work. It must have a hanger on the back for us to
display. You will be responsible for your own display.
Paintings must be framed, wired or hooked. You may show shrink-wrapped art on table easels.
You may show cards in a card displayer either on a table or floor.
Each painting or work of art must have its own Title Card (below) and notice if it is for sale,
along with price of the painting or “NFS” if the painting is not for sale.
Deadline for registration is June 15th mail registration form to the address above.
Each artist will be allowed 2 pieces of art to be entered in show. No art larger than a 11x14
will be entered in contest due to lack of space.
Judging
Judging begins at 10 am Saturday so each piece will need to be displayed before this time.
Ribbons will hang on winning pieces until 4 pm Saturday, June 27th.
There will be an out of town judge that scores each piece individually. The artwork that receives
that highest score will be awarded prizes listed above.
