IRONMAN 4 x 4 AFRICA GRAND PRIX ( FRI 29th TO SUN 31st May 2015) - Rules and Regulations
1. This tournament is part of the Grand Prix series. Points will be awarded to the top 16 men and women in each tournament and accumulated
over the series. Order of merit prizes will be awarded to the top 3 men and women.
2. The Open section draws may be limited to 16 players.
3. For the Lower League sections there must be a minimum of 8 players to constitute a section. The division of
sections may be adjusted to suit the entries received.
4. The following rules will apply to all sections:
(a) The tournament will be played using the Swiss Pairing format.
(b) Matches will be played on Friday evening, Saturday morning and afternoon and Sunday morning and afternoon
(depending on the size of entry). Matches will start at 5.00pm on Friday; players unable to play early must notify
the tournament convenor in the space provided on the entry form.
(c) Late entries will be accepted solely at the tournament convener’s discretion.
(d) A player withdrawing after the closing date will not be refunded the entry fee.
(e) Prize-winners must attend the prize giving function or forfeit their prize.
(f) A player not arriving for a match or withdrawing without good reason (e.g. injury) during the tournament will
forfeit all prize money and may be fined up to R100 and barred from future tournaments (as decided by a
Gauteng Squash disciplinary committee).
5. The high altitude ball will be used for the A & B sections and the DD ball for all other sections of the tournament.
6. The Tournament Referee, whose decision on all matters shall be final, is Craig van der Wath
