PATA Annual Summit 2015
New Dimensions of Heritage and Culture Tourism
April 23-26; Hong Zhu Shan Hotel
Leshan, Sichuan, China
Conference Description
New Dimensions of Heritage and Culture Tourism is the theme of this year’s PATA Annual Summit and will explore the
utilisation, management and promotion of heritage and cultural sites and attractions, while attracting and managing
an increased amount of tourism growth to a region.
Visitation to natural and cultural heritage destinations, including scenic landscapes, parks and ancient civilisation
sites is increasing year-on-year, with 26 locations added to the World Heritage List in 2014 alone, totalling over
1,000 natural and cultural sites. With increasing amounts of visitors travelling to these attractions and regions, a
challenge arises between the need for visitation and the appropriate management of the authentic and natural sites.
The conference programme will feature international and domestic speakers to discuss sessions including the Successful
Management of Heritage Sites, Social Media in China, Competitive Marketing Strategies by Destinations and the Future
Outlook of Innovation and Technology use in the Travel and Tourism Industry.
Registration Fees (applied to all delegates attending conference on 24 April)
