Important safety information - We provide easy to order, comprehensive and
convenient protection kit options. Determine your PPE cal/cm2 rating based on the
severity of the arc hazard and use the table below as a guide. Always perform a
hazard assessment.
Arc Protection Clothing Requirements - OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269 (1)(6)(iii) “The
employer shall ensure that each employee who is exposed to the hazards of flames
or electric arcs does not wear clothing that, when exposed to flames or electric arcs,
could increase the extent of injury that would be sustained by the employee. Clothing
selected for a particular application shall have an arc thermal performance value of
(EBT or ATPV) higher than the potential hazard to prevent the onset of 2nd degree
burns.
NFPA 70E-2004 addresses electrical safety-related work practices and procedures for
employees who work on or near exposed, energized electrical conductors or circuit
parts. This standard requires employees to wear flame resistant (FR) protective clothing
that meets the requirements of ASTM F1506 wherever there is possible exposure to
an electric arc flash. While OSHA has not formally adopted this standard, they will
cite employees under the general duty clause and make reference to NFPA 70E.

PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES
Coveralls 8 - 20 cal/cm2 ATPV, made from arc flash resistant, Indura Ultra Soft®,
Sewn with Nomex® thread and Full cut with set in sleeves. Complete with FR hook
and pile front closure and 30” inseam, 2-ply Nomex® wristlets and a hook and pile
cuff openings.
Protective Jackets and Overpants 8 - 20 cal/cm2 ATPV, made from arc flash
resistant, Indura Ultra Soft®, Sewn with Nomex® thread. Jackets are 32” long and
have Nomex® wristlets, hook and a pile front closure and are intended to be used with
Salisbury PRO-SHIELD™(AS1000 Hat). Overpants have full elastic waistband,
FR hook and pile front closure, 30” inseam and a hook and pile cuff adjustment. The
loose design and flared legs make it easy to put on and take off over existing work
clothing.

provide extra safety when climbing ladders and poles where the deep heel cavity
can lock onto the rungs. Includes an adjustable side strap. Are 100% water-proof
and made from premium grade ozone resistant rubber. The fabric lining makes them
easy to get on and off. The sole has a durable construction with a non-skid bar tread
outsole. The attached buckle and hardware is non-metallic. Salisbury Dielectric
Footwear conforms with ASTM F1117 and the entire boot is 100% tested to
ASTM F1116 at 20,000 volts.
Super Dielectric Deep Heel Overshoes - 21402, 51581 and 51530 provide extra
safety when climbing ladders and poles where the deep heel cavity can lock onto
the rungs. Includes an adjustable side strap. Are 100% water-proof and made from
premium grade ozone resistant rubber. The fabric lining makes them easy to get
on and off. The sole is an anti-skid bar thread. The out sole of these overshoes
and boots have been tested to 20,000 volts to the electrical hazard requirements of
ASTM F2413-05.

ARC FLASH PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES
Salisbury Proshield™, AS1000HAT, 10 cal/cm2 ATPV Rating when used with the
included chin cup, 8 cal/cm2 without the chin strap. The 70% light transmissionshield has a 7.5” x 20” viewing area and extra light tint, it is .06” thick and absorbs
99.9% of harmful UV radiation. It is also resistant to fogging and is tested to ASTM
F2178 specifications.
Salisbury’s Balaclava Hoods, Salisbury’s Arc Flash Hoods (balaclava) create
360º head and neck protection from arc flash dangers, when used with Proshield™.
AFHood10, has an ATPV rating of 10 cal/cm2 and is made from 20% Nomex® and
80% Lenzing FR® materials. AFHOOD15 has an ATP rating of 15 cal/cm2 and is
made from 100% Nomex, AFHOOD20 has an ATPV rating of 20 cal/cm2 and is
made from 100% NOMEX®.
AS1000HAT
Safety Glasses, TS56505, are anti-fogging, anti-scratch and anti-static with 99.9%
UV protection. These glasses meet current ANSI Z87.1, 2003 and CSA Z94.3
standards. Available in clear, amber or smoke lens.

Salisbury’s Insulated Tool Kits meet IEC 900 Standards for insulated hand tools.
Every insulated hand tool is rated for exposure up to 1000VAC and dielectrically
tested at 10,000VAC. These tools meet or exceed ASTM F1505-01 and IEC 900
Standards for insulated hand tools. These tools are necessary for compliance with
OSHA 1910.333 (c)(2), and NFPA 70E 2004.

and flame retardant. Two-color insulation make inspection easier which adds to the
overall safety of the user. If the yellow under layer is showing, the tool may no
