The tournament will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews (R&A) and the United States Golf Association (USGA) and the Local Rules of Angkor Golf Resort. Entry/ Eligibility 1. The Tournament is open to amateur golfers with handicap index 28 or below for Men and handicap index 36 or below for Ladies based on the USGA handicap System as of April 2015. 2. All entries must be submitted on an official Entry Form fully completed and signed by Entrants and endorsed by Club Captain, General Manager, Director of Golf or Golf Manager of the player’s home club. If a player has his/her handicap maintained at more than one club, he/she shall declare the lower handicap. 3. Entries shall be limited to a maximum of 108 participants. All entries shall be subject to the approval of the Organizing Committee as to the acceptance of any entry shall be final. 4 4. Entries shall be submitted not later than 5.00 pm local time, 16th March 2015 to Angkor Golf Resort +855 63 761 140 or by email, Attention to: Director of Golf ([email protected]) Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Organizing Committee. 5. Entry fees are to be submitted at the time of entry form submission and payable by credit card, cash or bank transfer. The entry fee is US$ 285p/p. Entry is subject to confirmation acceptance of payment by the Club. Entry fee shall be forfeited for cancellation of entries after the closing date. Rules of Play 1. The tournament shall be decided by two rounds of 18-hole on Angkor Golf Resort, played by Four-Ball Better Ball (Pairs) Stroke Play with the best 1 score to count on each hole. Rules of Golf as approved by the R& A, USGA and the Local Rule of Angkor Golf Resort. The commencement of play will be on 1st and 10th tee box or shotgun start depending on the size of field. The Organizing Committee’s decision shall be final in the event of circumstances which make the playing of 2 rounds of 18-hole impracticable, to cancel the rounds at its discretion. 2. The Organizing Committee shall oversee all aspect of the event whose decisions on all matters shall be final. Divisions (The divisions may change depending on number of golfers participating) ANGKOR FOUR-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2015 Presented by Angkor Golf Resort MEN’S DIVISION- OVERALL CHAMPIONS (GROSS) MEN’S NETT DIVISION- 1st, 2nd, 3rd LADIES NETT DIVISION- 1st, 2nd 3rd Daily gross and nett prizes will also be offered as well as daily nearest the pin and longest drive prizes. Divisions may be combined depending on entries and at the discretion of Angkor Golf Resort. 3. Tournament Tees: Men will play from Blue Tee’s and Ladies from Red Tee’s on both days. 4. In the event of a tie for Overall Gross Champions, the winners shall be decided on a holes-by-hole sudden death play-off at a designated hole at Angkor Golf Resort, and repeated at the same hole until a winner is decided. 5. Count-back System for 18-Hole/36 Hole: the Club count-back system shall be in accordance to the count-back system of the R&A. This will be implemented for the Nett prizes only. 6. All participants must report to the starter at least 15 minutes prior to the appointed tee off. If a player arrives at starting tee ready to play, within five minutes after scheduled starting time, the 5 penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the first hole. If the player still fails to appear at the starting tee within this period, he/she shall be disqualified. 7. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to amend or allocate the starting times. 8. In the event of inclement weather preventing any player from completing a round, Rules 33-2 (d) and 6-8 will apply and the result of the tournament will be decided by number of round completed within the time limit set by Organizing Committee whose decision shall be final. 9. The attention of all players is draw to Rule 6-7 regarding undue slow play. In the interest of fair play the Organizing Committee will not hesitate to impose the penalties stipulated by tournament rule. (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) First warning – Reminder from Marshal. The tournament shall utilize shared buggy and one caddy per golfer on a compulsory basis. Notice to Golfers 1. Practice round: Course is open for practice from 7:00am to 4:00pm local time on 2nd April 2015. Please book your tee time in advance. Those wishing to play additional rounds will be charged directly upon check in at a reduced rate of $99 including Caddy and Sharing Cart (Add $10 for single cart) 2. Registration: Participants are asked to register on Friday, 2nd April between 8:00am to 5:00pm local time at the Clubhouse. 6
