Pearce & Heers Insolvency Accountants was established in March 2002 as an independent
specialist insolvency accounting practice. Our experienced team of professionals operates from
offices in Brisbane and the Gold Coast and includes Registered and Official Liquidators, Registered
Bankruptcy Trustees and qualified accountants.
We offer a complete range of insolvency, business reconstruction and related services including
administering formal insolvency appointments and providing advice and assistance regarding
insolvency matters to individuals with financial difficulties, company directors, creditors, financiers,
accountants and solicitors.
Pearce & Heers undertakes insolvency appointments throughout Queensland and interstate. Where
work is required to be undertaken in distant locations we commonly engage fellow members of the
Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA) or other qualified
accountants who are situated locally to perform work under our direction and supervision.
The challenges created by the current financial climate mean that cashflow difficulties and business
failure are prevalent concerns for many companies and individuals. Early recognition of the warning

OUR PEOPLE
We have an enthusiastic and dedicated staff of fourteen, including three partners. All professional
staff are encouraged to undertake continuing education and to obtain membership of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants in Australia or CPA Australia.
There are presently five Chartered Accountants (CA’s) at the firm and one CPA. Four of our staff are
full members of ARITA and a further three staff members are undertaking ARITA’s insolvency
education program through the Queensland University of Technology, completion of which is a
prerequisite to becoming a full member of ARITA.

Mark is a Chartered Accountant, Official Liquidator and Registered Bankruptcy
Trustee and has 23 years’ experience in administering all types of insolvency
appointments across a wide range of industries. Prior to establishing Pearce &
Heers in 2002, Mark worked in a number of Brisbane insolvency firms including a
Big Four firm. Mark oversees the firm’s commitment to setting the benchmark in
results and service within the insolvency profession.

Andrew is a Chartered Accountant, Registered Bankruptcy Trustee and has
extensive experience as an insolvency accountant having worked in the profession
for the past 19 years. Andrew administers both corporate and personal insolvency
matters and also provides expert insolvency advice to a range of professionals and
their clients.

and he has extensive experience as an insolvency accountant, as well as

both corporate and personal insolvency matters.

Jarvis is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in corporate and
personal insolvency matters. Throughout his 11 year career Jarvis has
worked in Brisbane and London insolvency firms, including a Big Four
accounting firm. His experience encompasses a broad spectrum of small to
medium engagements in Australia and the UK, across a variety of industries.
In addition to undertaking formal insolvency appointments, Jarvis provides
assistance to accountants, company directors and individuals regarding their
financial difficulties.

Nathan is the Manager of Pearce & Heers’ Gold Coast office. He is an
