It’s nearly that time of the year again!!
All clubs and recreational anglers are hereby invited to participate in the 23rd PEDSAC Annual Tuna
Classic 2015, to be held from PEDSAC – Port Elizabeth Harbour.
Details are as follows:-

Open Class – IGFA Rules apply.
Representation:
Rules:
Teams: One team per boat consisting of fully paid and entered
individuals.
The organising committee can assist in finding local boat owners to
accommodate individuals or teams if required.
Rules and regulations will be posted on our website and supplied to all
participants on day of registration.
Registration will take place at the PEDSAC clubhouse on the 29th April
2015 between 15:00 and 18:30.
All teams must register and complete indemnity forms.
Briefing will take place at the PEDSAC clubhouse on the 29th April 2015
at 19h00. Entered boats to be “auctioned as a winning boat” to raise
funds for junior development.
Dress code: Team Shirts / Jeans.
The Ford Broadbill Night Challenge rules and format will be
discussed. (See separate information brief.)
Will take place in the Marquee tent adjacent to the PEDSAC Club House
on the 2nd May 2015 at 19h00 or 18:00 should the last day be
cancelled due to inclement weather.

Scales will open between 15h00 and 18h00 each day except for 2nd May
2015, when the weighing station will open between 14:00 and 17h00
unless otherwise agreed and confirmed by the Adjudicating Committee.
All teams / Individuals – R700-00 per person.
All accommodation, food / meals, fuel and bait for your own account.
We can put entrants in touch with local boat owners for those who do not
want to transport their boats from out of town. Please contact us well in
advance.
Random checks at the discretion of the Tournament Organising
Committee.

Boat goodie bags and shirts cannot be guaranteed for late entrants.

Yellowfin Tuna, Longfin Tuna, Big Eye Tuna, Marlin, Dorado, Bonito and
Broadbill.
Minimum Seize: Yellowfin / Big eye Tuna 15kg for boat and 25kg for prizes.
Marlin: 80kg / Broadbill: 80kg.
Dorado and Bonito / Skipjacks minimum sizes: Subject to confirmation.
Bait can be purchased from harbour bait outlets.
Out of Town Teams are responsible for arranging and settling accounts for their
own accommodation.

In respect of the participation in the abovementioned tournament as organization by The
Port Elizabeth Deep Sea Angling Club, we the undersigned:
Record that, knowing full well that it may be dangerous to do so, participate in the BLG
LOGISTICS TUNA CLASSIC taking place from the 29 April – 2nd May 2015. We expressly
agree to indemnify the PORT ELIZABETH DEEP SEA ANGLING CLUB, its members,
employees, the owners of the Ski Boat’s and / or assigns and all SPONSORS of the
tournament from being held responsible or liable for any damage, death, loss or injury,
directly or indirectly, consequential or otherwise, arising from our participation in the TUNA
CLASSIC.
I accordingly irrevocably indemnify the PORT ELIZABETH DEEP SEA ANGLING, the
owners of the Ski Boats and / or assigns and all SPONSORS of the tournament from any
claim/s for damages or otherwise which we, or our dependants, our estate and successors in
title, may suffer arising from or caused by the fault in any degree of the said PORT
ELIZABETH DEEP SEA ANGLING CLUB and owners of Ski boat’s and/or assigns and all
SPONSORS of the tournament. We state we are fully aware of the importance of this
