NEW THIS YEAR!
New for 2015 (FIRST SESSION ONLY), we are excited to welcome the experts from Kopf
Running who will be providing an optional supplement to our on-court instruction. Coaches
Seth and Karen will focus on improving overall endurance and conditioning as well as tennisspecific speed, agility, and movement patterns for our players. Both coaches are former
collegiate athletes. Karen was a top high school state and division 1 tennis player.

The Beginner/Intermediate and Advanced campers’ agility session will take place the week of
June 22nd from 9:30-10am. ($15 cost)
The Junior Eagles’ agility session will run from 11:15-11:45 the week of June 22nd. ($10 cost)

The “Junior Eagles” camp is open to all participants entering grades K-5 in the 2015-2016 school year.
Please contact Coach Betts with any questions regarding which section is most appropriate for your child.
Coaches reserve the right to move players based on ability level to the appropriate section, as needed.

The Golden Eagles Tennis Camps are directed by Jon Betts, head coach of the Jacobs Golden
Eagles girls’ and boys’ tennis programs. Coach Betts, entering his eleventh year as a head
coach, is a 2005 graduate of Knox College where he was a 4-year varsity letter winner and allconference selection in both tennis and soccer. In addition to being a 4th grade teacher at Liberty
Elementary, Coach Betts, a USPTA-certified tennis teaching professional, was selected as an
IHSTCA Regional Coach of the Year following the girls’ conference championship season.
Coach Betts will be assisted by a number of current college tennis players and former high
school stand-outs. Participants may expect a low student-to-instructor ratio.
The Golden Eagles’ tennis camps are a great way to learn tennis, improve your game, make new
friends and, most importantly, HAVE FUN! No prior tennis experience is required. All
aspects of the game will be covered during the camps. Each camper receives a camp t-shirt.
