Goals and objectives of the festival

Creation of the annual vocal and choral forum which enables the exchange of creative
achievements between groups and soloists from different creative genres and styles.

Search, development and support of talented performers of the academic, popular and
folk music

Provide talented children with opportunities to attract the attention of the best teachers
in the country

Exchange of the experience and skill of the leaders

Opportunity for everyone to express themselves.

Strengthening the understanding and friendly relations between children and youth.

Expanding the horizons and intellectual level of children and youth.

Improving the performance skills of singers.

Update the repertoire of vocal and choral groups, taking into account the global and
national musical culture, cultural and national features of the Russian regions and abroad

Study and generalization of experience in vocal and choral singing, creation of the
productive creative communication of the professionals in music education for children
and youth.
Terms of the festival-contest:
It is allowed to participate in festival-contest:

amateur groups, ensembles and soloists

ensembles, soloists of children's art schools, music schools, music educational
institutions of IVE and HVE

ensembles and soloists of secondary schools and other non-musical education institutions

ensembles, soloists of cultural - leisure centers

Parochial choirs, choruses of Sunday schools

Choirs of various genres.
There is no age restrictions and preferences!
Nominations:

Pop vocal (solo singing)

Pop vocal ensembles (duo, trio, ensemble)

Academic vocal (solo singing, ensembles)

Folk vocal (solo singing, ensembles)

Choral singing (in pop, folk, academic or ecclesiastical genres)
Each participant (soloist, ensemble, collective) represents a free concert project which should be
put in 5 minutes of pure sound (without entry and exit from the scene).
Each choir, soloist can take part in several categories.
It is necessary to pay the admission fee for the organization of the festival in the amount of:
• for the soloist - 2000 rubles;
• duo - 1500 rubles for each participant;
• Trio - 1,100 rubles for each participant;
• Ensemble (4 to 10 persons) - 900 rubles for each participant;
• The group (11 people) - 10,000 rubles.
The participant can take part in several categories (admission fee is paid for each nomination
separately).
Citizens of other countries transfer the admission fee in dollars or euro equal with ruble
exchange rate at the date of transfer.
All remittances costs are the expense of the sending side.
In case of refusal to participate after May 7 the admission fee is not refundable.
The entire fund will be got by the Commission for awarding, payment to the jury, payment to the
media, rent and technical equipment.
Order of the documents submission:
Filled application form (form in the application 1) and scanned receipt (form in the application 2)

The participants without the admission fee payment are not allowed to perform
Technical requirements:

One track in Audi format should be recorded on CD or flash-card. Please keep a
duplicate record.

Required availability of quality soundtracks (-) negative, indicating the name of the group
or soloist.

It is necessary to have the quality phonograms (-) minuses with the name of the group or
soloist

It is not allowed to use DOUBLE-vocal (vocal multiplying of the lead party) for soloists.
Attention! This is not apply children under 6.

Vocal groups with more than 4 people are allowed to use their headsets.

It is not allowed participants to perform with phonogram (+).


It is not allowed to use microphone in Academic vocal
It is recommended not to use microphone in Folk singing
Rating of the contest performance
Rating criteria:
All participants will be rated by 3 positions:

Performing skills and technique - a range, style matching, level of difficulty, originality,
correspondence of the repertoire to age category and opportunities of the artist, sense of
rhythm, the ability to use a microphone.

Artistry - presentation, contact with the audience, the ability to present the composition,
extra means of expression (back dancers, etc.).

Image – self-expression, costume, requisite, make-up.
The main criterion for the jury is vocal skills, but do not forget about other criteria!
The performance is rated on a 100-point scale.
For each category will be appointed:
• Grand Prix - 100 points
Diploma of the laureate:
• First degree - 90-99 points
• Second degree - 80-89 points
• Third degree - 70-79 points
Diploma of award winner:
• First degree - 60-69 points
• Second degree - 50-59 points
• Third degree - 40-49 points
All winners of the festival-contest will be awarded diplomas of international standard

People's Choice Award.

Special prizes from the organizers of the festival established, regardless of the
participant‘s position. (the most lyrical number, etc.)

The jury puts points right after the contest listening in open mode and award the
participant a diploma of the appropriate degree right after the performance!

Rating and scoring the jury takes into account the age and preparation of participants.

The jury's decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
The jury:
Among the members of the jury there will be honored culture and art workers of Russian
Federation, vocal jazz, academic, folk singing teachers of the leading Russian universities,
producers, composers, songwriters, teachers of vocal art studios.
Remote participation
Remote form is provided for soloists, ensembles and groups who are unable to come to the
festival, but who want to participate in it.
Genres and nominations of the remote participation coincide with genres and nominations of the
participants.
For remote participation is necessary to:

Record video with a concert-contest performance. Before the performance you need to
declare that this video is for the festival "Song without Borders." Stopping the camera
during the performance is not allowed. Performance should not be longer than 5 minutes
(without the declaration on camera).



Send the application form in the remote form and link to the video to [email protected]

Within 7 days the Organizing Committee will contact the applicant to confirm the
correspondence of the video with the requirements and send banking details for the
admission fee.

Within three days after receiving the banking details the participant must pay the
admission fee and sent the scanned receipt to [email protected]

After the May 20 videos will be posted on the website http://uspeh-concert.com/ and the
jury will study them.

After 5 June 2015 the score will be summarized and the diplomas will be sent

Videos of the participants without admission fee will not be rated
Financial terms of the remote participation:
For remote participation in the festival the admission fee must be paid in the amount of:
• Soloists and ensembles (up to 5 persons) - 3000 rubles
• Ensembles and groups (6 -10 persons) - 5000 rubles
•Groups with more than 10 people - 8000 rubles
The participant can take part in several categories (the admission fee is paid for each
nomination separately).

Special conditions:

The Organizing Committee will inform each participant about the place no later than
May 1st.

The Organizing Committee will inform each participant about the time no later than May
20st.

All expenses for travel, accommodation and meals of the participants, teachers,
concertmaster and parents are paid by the sending side.

Organizers of the festival are not responsible to the authors for compositions and songs
performed by the participants of the festival!

In case of a dispute about the interpretation of the festival terms – the only exact text is
Russian version.
•
Participants of the festival will not receive the honorarium for their participation in the
contest and for every further using of the recordings and broadcasts of these
performances.
•
The Organizing Committee has the exclusive rights for the realization of audio, video and
broadcast auditions.
•
Sent application form is the agreement with the all terms of the auditions.
