FL Moffett: Alondra Almaguer and Jamari Green
Alondra Almaguer is in Mrs. Celia's PreK-4 class. Her
favorite book is Smelly Bear. She chose her sister Karla as
her role model because she is a good soccer player and she
loves her. Alondra wants to be a famous doctor so she can
help babies. She likes to play with her dogs, Alfalfa and
Bella. Alondra also likes to create things with craft items.
Alondra was chosen as Rider of the Week because she is a
wonderful student that's always eager to learn. She is
willing to help her classmates, and her classmates enjoy
her. Alondra is charismatic and mature for her age. She
enjoys coming to school and learning in centers.
Jamari Green is in Mrs. Sherry's PreK-4 class. His favorite movie is Shark Boy and Lava Girl. His role model
is Coach Suell because he is nice and he talks to Jamari.
Jamari wants to be a famous basketball player when he
grows up. He really likes to play outside in the dirt, play
basketball, play outside, and play games. Jamari was chosen as Rider of the Week because he is a wonderful student, that always follows the rules. He is kind to his classmates
and is helpful. Jamari is very respectful to everyone and he always has a smile.
Center Elementary: Emily Arcibar and Carson Crawford
Emily Arcibar is in Third Grade. Her favorite movie is Brave because she
is not afraid of doing anything, and that is what Emily wants to be is
brave. Emily’s role model is her Mom because she teaches her lots of things
and she is really just a good person to spend time with. She really wants to
grow up to be a famous singer because she loves to sing everywhere she
goes. Jump roping is her favorite past time when she gets home from
school. Emily’s teacher, Mrs. Corbell describes Emily in this way; “Emily is
the type of student that any teacher loves to see walk in the door everyday.” The things that make Emily a Super Star at CES are her willingness
to help others with school work or just a kind ear to listen. Her contagious
smile and positive attitude are truly a blessing!
Carson Crawford is in First Grade. His favorite movie is 8 Seconds because he loves all the action of bull riding. His role model is his Dad because he helps him with homework and helps him with his reading, and he
loves to spend time with him. Carson wants to grow up to be a famous
Baseball player because he loves it when the fans cheer you on. He really
likes to have fun with his parents when he gets home and he likes jumping
on the trampoline. A smile that warms the heart is one of many awesome
character traits that Carson possesses. His teacher, Mrs. Sullivan says,
“Outside school he is an outgoing baseball player, but once he comes to
class his mind is totally focused on his work and what needs to be done to be successful.” He is a great friend to have in
class and that is why Carson is a Super Star at CES!
Center Intermediate: Monica Sandiego and Andrea Morales
Monica Sandiego is in Fifth Grade. Her favorite movie is Titanic. She says that her older sister, Daniela is her role model because she puts a lot of effort into her school work and is very
good at basketball. She hopes to grow up to become famous for painting famous and awesome
pictures. For fun, she likes to be in a quiet, dark place where she can listen to her music.
Monica was chosen as Rider of the Week by her teacher, Mrs. Harris because she is an amazing
student. She is hard working, very organized, and never complains. Monica always does her
homework and most of all, she helps other students.
Andrea Morales is in Fifth Grade. Her favorite movie is Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.
She chose her teacher, Mrs. Harris as her role model because she wants to be a teacher herself
when she grows up. Andrea would like to be famous for her singing. Her Mom always says that
she sings well. For fun, she likes playing with electronics, writing, coloring, tracing, and reading or doing math. Andrea was also chosen as Rider of the Week by her teacher, Mrs. Harris
because she is a wonderful student who works very hard. She has outstanding leadership qualities and she likes helping others.
Center Middle School: Jorge Olalde and Marchelle Goodwin
Jorge Olalde is a sixth grader at CMS. He enjoys math and science and hopes to become a
veterinarian. He loves to hunt and fish with his dad, who happens to be his role model. He is
on the Maps, Graphs, and Charts UIL team this year. Jorge is a very respectful and attentive
student. He always comes prepared and is very hardworking and responsible.
Marchelle Goodwin also enjoys math and science and has plans to become a registered
nurse. She has two role models, Rachelle Walker and LaMarcus Goodwin. These two always
spend time with Marchelle and she has fun with them. Marchelle enjoys basketball, softball,
going to church, and is a Girl Scout. Marchelle’s teachers say she is always smiling when she
comes into the room. She is friendly to everyone. She is very hardworking and always tries to
do her best. Jorge and Marchelle were nominated by the Golden Spurs team teachers.
Center High School: LaMarcus Goodwin and Taylor Pieper
LaMarcus Goodwin is a Sophomore. His favorite movie is The Blind Side. He says that Marlin Cloudy, Jr. is his role model because “he taught me how to be a man and he taught me everything I know about sports.” LaMarcus hopes to become famous as an
NFL player or coach. After high school, he plans to attend Tarleton State University. He’s been an active part of the Roughrider
Athletic Program. He plays football, basketball, and track. LaMarcus was chosen as Rider of the Week by his teacher, Mrs. Christy
Littleton. She has this to say about LaMarcus, “I chose LaMarcus because he has an amazing ability to bring joy to any setting he
is in. He will light up the whole class and bring so much laughter to the room. He is friendly to everyone, and he will find any reason to smile. He always strives to do his best whether in sports or in the classroom. What impresses me most though is his loyalty.
He is constantly encouraging and pushing his friends to do better in and out of the classroom. He has certainly made my year a whole lot brighter.”
Taylor Pieper is a Freshmen. Her favorite book is The Mortal Instruments. Her role
model is Andy Beirsack of Black Veil Brides because people told him he couldn’t be a successful musician and yet he is now the lead singer of her favorite band and an inspiration
to her. Taylor really hopes to become a famous musician as well. After graduation, she
plans to attend Texas A&M. She really enjoys drawing, music, and photography. Mrs.
Littleton also chose Taylor as Rider of the Week because, “she is wise beyond her years.
You will always catch her with a smile on her face and joy in her heart. I enjoy having conversations with her about a variety of topics. Taylor is always willing to help anyone in
need whether it is school related or not. Taylor is one of the least judgmental students I
have ever had. She sees people for who they have been created to be, and she cares for
them as such. I am always smiling when I am around her because her positive spirit is so
contagious.”
