photographer with a passion for sharing the
art of capturing images through adventure
travel. Exploring unique destinations around
the globe, affords his guests many amazing
photographic opportunities, and interesting ways to learn more about the
art of photography and today’s ever expanding digital workflow.
James has over thirty years experience in the photo industry. Combined
with his travel skills, and knowledge of our tour destinations, each guest
will enjoy an enriching experience while expanding their photographic
knowledge, skills and the art of observation.
James’ number one belief is to have fun with your camera. The more
comfortable and relaxed you are when out on an adventure, the better
your observation, resulting in more exciting images. Add in his sense of
humour, and you will find yourself looking at the world in a different light,
coming home with great memories, new friends and amazing images.

March 4th to 9th 2015 - Iceland Northern Lights - Capture one of the most
beautiful light shows mother nature has to offer as we tour and photograph the
beauty of Iceland. Waterfalls, ice flows and glaciers set the backdrop for our
Northern Lights tour of Iceland. Plenty of photography time the days are short and
nights are long this time of year. March, highs 5C lows -2C. Tour size 10 guests.
June 6th to 16th 2015 - Galapagos Islands - We will be returning the remote
Pacific islands to photograph and explore the wonders of nature. As with our first
tour we have charted our own Yacht which means more time to photograph on the
islands. You are traveling with islands guides exclusive tour our tour. We will be
spending two days in Quito, Ecuador. Tour size 12 - 15 guests.
April 15th to 29th 2015 - Vietnam & Cambodia- We’re excited to be hosting
another photo tour to Vietnam. This tours will feature Hanoi, traveling by train to the
north to visit the remote villages including Sa Pa, then south to Ho Chi Minh City.
Featuring an evening vespa tour were we will visit the different districts of the city,
experiencing the culture and cuisine.Then on to the floating markets of Can Tho in
the Mekong Delta. Wrapping up our tour with a journey the ancient ruins of Angkor
Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Group size for our Vietnam tour is 12 - 15 guests.
July 10th to 17th, 2015 -Sable Island - Sable Island, 300 km south-east of
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Renowned for the Sable wild horses and
shipwrecks. It is also an island with a fascinating geology and natural history that
reflect the challenge of surviving wind, waves and isolation. Tour size 8 guests. May 2nd to 9th, 2015 - Colorado River / Grand Canyon - A different photo
experience, capturing the beauty of the canyon as we travel down the Colorado
River through the Grand Canyon. The beauty of this region is second to none and
the photography from the base of the Canyon will add a new dimension to your
images. We will also visit Horse Shoe and Antelope Canyon. The slot canyon of
lower Antelope is a photographers paradise. Tour size 10 - 12 guests.
May 16th to 31st, 2015 - Tigers and Temples India - India offers many beautiful
photo opportunities, culture, architecture and of course the beauty of the tiger. Our
photo tour will feature three tiger reserves, Sariska Tiger Reserve (where Trekkers
is an member of the Tiger Foundation), Ranthambore and Bandhavgarh National
Park. During our tour we will also visit Delhi, Jaipur, take an elephant ride up to the
Amber Fort and photograph at the Taj Mahal in Agra. May has been selected for
this tour as photography of the tiger is at it's best due to the low grass and locations
of the watering holes. Group size for our India tour is 10 - 12 guests.
August 3rd to 17th, 2015 - South of England Photo Tour - Trekkers has offered
several experiences to the United Kingdom. This will be our first trek to the south of
England. On this tour we will feature London, including a visit to Buckingham
Palace. Then off to Wales, Cornwall, the Cotswolds and Guernsey. The changing
landscape, architecture, and culture will make this a great photographic
experience. Group size for our England tour is 15 - 18 guests. September 17th to October 1st, 2015 - Kenya and Tanzania - Photographing
wildlife of the famous Masai Mara and Serengeti ecosystem, legions of birds. water
fowl, and viewing wildlife in the Ngorongoro Crater will all be part of our Kenya and
Tanzania photo tour. Join us as we photograph the beauty and wildlife of this part
of Africa.This region offers up some of the most beautiful safaris to experience and
photograph and of course the migration. Tour size 10 to 15 guests.
November 2nd to 9th, 2015 - Machu Picchu - Due to popular request we will be
repeating our 2014 Machu Picchu tour. Join us as we explore the beauty of Peru.
Our journey begins in Lima, then we fly to Cusco and travel to the Sacred Valley.
Then journey by train to the ancient city of Machu Picchu. Our tour includes visiting
many of the ancient ruins, cultural experiences, delicious meals, a Peruvian horse
show and wrap up dinner and one of the most amazing and colourful dance shows
you will ever experience. Our Peru tour group size is 10 guests.
