THEME:
“HOME”
Your challenge is to make a small quilt or wall-hanging incorporating the “HOME” theme.
All entries will be displayed in the Needlework Section on the 3 (three) days of the Pine
Rivers Show on Friday 31st July to Sunday 2nd August 2015.
ENTRY FEE: $5 (includes pack of challenge fabric.....2 in total).
ENTRY DELIVERY TIMES: Sunday 26th July 2015 from 10am. - 1pm. (Needlework Pavilion).
Monday 27th July 2015 from 5pm. - 8pm. (Needlework Pavilion).
NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
The 2 (two) challenge fabrics included in your pack MUST BE USED with a minimum of 75% to be
used on your top......prior to binding. No other restrictions apply.
Finished size:
Please note:
Minimum size is 124cm (48”) perimeter or circumference.
Maximum size is 184cm (72”) perimeter or circumference.
Finished size must be within these two measurements to be judged.
1. All forms of patchwork, applique and stitchery are permitted. Item must be fully finished......a quilt is
defined as 3 (three) layers of material held together at regular intervals by stitching.
2. All entries must have a hanging sleeve ( rod pocket) which is 8cm (3”) sewn to the top of the
back to facilitate hanging.
3. A label no larger than 15cm square with the quilt title, name, address and phone number of
the maker must be securely attached to the back of the entry.
NAME MUST NOT BE VISIBLE ON THE FRONT.
4. Entries must be the entrant's own work, and must not be a copy of an existing work, nor
can it have been done in a workshop....under guidance of a tutor.
5. Entry form must be completed and signed to qualify for judging.
Chance plays no part in this challenge. The entries will be judged on skill, use of colour, and design,
overall creativity and interpretation of theme.
THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL....NO CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ENTERED INTO.

Send Money Order for $6(includes postage) payable to Pine Rivers A.H. & I. Assoc., at P.O. Box 12,
LAWNTON, Q. 4501. Please make reference to “Challenge” and kit will be posted to you.

You can call personally to pay ($5) and pick up your kit from the Rotary Food Stand at the Lawnton
Showgrounds during the hours of 9.00am – 12noon on any Saturday morning at the LAWNTON SATURDAY
MARKETS.

This will be decided by the “2015 Pine Rivers Show” visitors. They will choose the
special “Viewers Choice Award” with their votes. One vote, per person per day will apply.
Challenge entrants are ineligible to vote.
At the end of each day, the votes will be collated, and the barrel emptied.
The “Viewers Choice Award” will be awarded to the entry with the highest
number of votes.............in total from the three days.
PLEASE NOTE: Whilst all care will be taken with your entries, we cannot be liable for loss or damage
that may occur while the quilts are in our care or in transit.
We highly recommend that your entry be posted by registered post.
Insurance is the responsibility of the Exhibitor.
