South Island Campgrounds & Activities Name Juan de Fuca Provincial Park -­‐ China Beach Campground French Beach Provincial Park Sooke River RV Park & Campground Sunny Shores Resort & Campground Island View Regional Park Campground Location The China Beach campground is adjacent to Highway 14, just east of the China Beach day-­‐use, 35 km west of Sooke and 36 km east of Port Renfrew. The park can be accessed via Hwy 14, 20 km west of Sooke. Directional signs are posted. The park is located approximately 11 km from Jordan River. The Sooke River Campground (The Flats) is a family-­‐oriented, private campground owned by the Sooke Community Association. We are a scenic 45 minute drive from downtown Victoria via Highway 14. Turn right just after the bridge at Phillips Road. You will pass the Sooke Region Museum and Visitor Centre and the SEAPARC Leisure Complex on your left and we are located at the bottom of the hill. We're nestled along the beautiful shores of De Mamiel Creek and the Sooke River, and conveniently located minutes away from downtown Sooke. At Sunny Shores Resort & Marina, we offer modern housekeeping units with colour cable TV, tent and trailer sites, firepits, picnic tables, clean washrooms, laundromat, mini golf and children's playground. Open all year. We are located 30 km west of Victoria, BC on Hwy 14. Follow the Pat Bay Highway. Turn east on Island View Road, then left on Homathko Road, which leads to the park entrance. Allow approximately 30 minutes driving time from Victoria. Visitors coming to the campground now must
use Amy Road via Westshore Parkway to get to
the campground. The Westshore Parkway
intersection is just south of the old (now closed)
Sooke Lake Road intersection and the first traffic
signal after the Spencer Road intersection on
Trans Canada Hwy #1. The park is located on southern Vancouver Island, approximately 45 km north of Victoria off Highway 1. Turn east off Highway 1 onto Mill Bay Road, near the north end of the scenic Malahat Drive. From downtown Victoria •
Rate $35 / party / night Follow Douglas Street north onto Highway 1 (Trans-­‐
Canada) and travel about 8 km. Take Exit 10 (Colwood), which becomes Highway #1A (Old Island Hwy). Remain on Highway 1A for about 3 km. At the fifth traffic light, turn left onto Ocean Boulevard. Horne Lake Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park is Caves Provincial located 60 km north of Nanaimo and 26 Park km west of Qualicum on central Vancouver Island. The park can be accessed via the Horne Lake exit off Hwy #19 or Hwy #19a. Follow signs for 12 km to Horne Lake. Base rate: $75 per night plus tax with a
minimum of 15 people
Additional $5 per night plus tax for every extra
person over the minimum
Maximum 64 persons per group site per night
Special rate for youth groups organized by
schools or non-profit societies: $37.50 per
night plus tax with a minimum of 15 people,

Although not a campground, Horne Lake Caves offers an amazing opportunity to see one of nature’s wonders! Nestled under Mount Mark at the west end of Horne Lake beside famous Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park, the 109 hectare regional park boasts over five kilometres of lake and riverfront to enjoy and explore.
