BUZZ LAB 2.0
TEEN INTERNSHIP
DESCRIPTION
Seventeen promising youth interested in the arts
and sciences will be selected to become members
of the Swarm and participate in Buzz Lab, an
all-day, four day program that will continue to
transform the urban site of Plains Art Museum into
a sustainable urban landscape with native and
edible plants.
The Swarm will work with artists and teachers to learn and discuss the importance
of pollinators, create their own works of art, and participate in plantings and artplacement for the Pollinator Garden at the Plains Art Museum. Participants in Buzz
Lab also will commit to two follow-up sessions to observe and monitor the plantings
throughout the summer and early fall.
This is a 42 hour internship: After completing the first 28 hours June 8-11,
participants will be paid $120.00; lunches and snacks will be provided that week. There
will be a follow-up session from 8:30 AM-3:30 PM on Thursday, July 16. There also will
be a follow-up session in September, date TBD. Participants will be paid $30.00 for
each follow-up session.
Applications are due at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. They may be mailed
to Plains Art Museum, Attn: Buzz Lab, 704 First Ave. N., Fargo ND 58102
