Press Release Press Conference at ITC Maurya, New Delhi 08.04.2015 On the occasion of the Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s forthcoming trip and the historical Diaspora event to be held at the Ricoh Coliseum, Toronto on the 15th April, 2015; a press conference was held at ITC Maurya, New Delhi, on 8th of April, 2015. This press conference was chaired by Mr. Kapil Kumria, Member -‐ National Alliance of Indo Canadians, Chairman & Managing Director of the Corporate Alliance Group. Along with him were Mr. Jess Dutton; Deputy High Commissioner of Canada to India, renowned bollywood singer, Mr. Sukhwinder Singh and Mr. Arun Pandeya, Head of Air Canada in India. Mr. Kumria briefed the media about Prime Minister’s visit and the social gathering at the Ricoh Centre, Toronto. Further, Mr. Dutton expressed his heartfelt pleasure about an Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Canada almost after 43 years and how this visit would strengthen the relations between both the countries. Commencement of nonstop flights from Canada to India in November 2015 on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet was announced by Mr. Pandeya. Mr. Sukhwinder Singh, a singer-‐composer, class apart in his genre has won national award and academy awards for many songs, has specially announced a composition and will sing on Indo Canadian relation and friendship for this prestigious event. He was felicitated by Mr. Kumria and Mr. Dutton by giving him a memento for him winning the national award recently and to do ‘Jai Ho’ along with the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Toronto on the 15th April, 2015.
