The Vintage Venture
In 1980 the Vintage Venture started as a project of Betty
and Brian Brinkerhoff who operated Brinkerhoff Realty on South Water Street in Kent.
The annual spring event grew so rapidly that it was necessary to secure a sponsor for the
project. That’s where the Portage County Association of REALTORS® entered the picture.
Since our involvement began, the project has continued to grow. Each year upward of four
hundred Portage County Senior Citizens are invited to enjoy a fun afternoon.
The Portage County REALTORS® and affiliates, through sale of ads in the program,
financially support the Vintage Venture. Additionally, businesses are solicited for donations
of door prizes and other amenities that make the afternoon very enjoyable.
Members of the Association set up, act as servers, and do whatever it takes to put on the
event.
All we ask of participants is that you enjoy yourself and patronize those individuals and
businesses that advertise and donate goods and services as a way of saying “thank you”.

The Portage County Association of REALTORS® has depended on the gracious
