The Everett Half Marathon ….April 12
…Even if you don’t run come out and cheer on the runners on our beautiful waterfront
Takes place at Port Gardner Landing. Formerly known as the Heroes Half Marathon, the Everett Half
Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, April 12, at the Port Gardner Landing at Everett Marina. This is the
fifth year that participants have filled the street on West Marine View Drive and Highway 529 to run one
of the flattest half marathon courses around. Active duty military and veterans may register at a
discounted rate for the half marathon or 10K. The run course offers the most beautiful views of the
Snohomish River, Cascade Mountains and the Everett Waterfront.

A great big THANKS to all who helped with the work party on March 14 at DEPOT PARK. We look
forward to more work parties this season and meeting new volunteers. We’ll keep you posted on future
dates. Depot Park is on Bond Street and it is a delightful place to walk to from our neighborhood. We are
grateful to Diane Rogers, Linden Kimbrough, Katrina Lindahl, Sheryl Becker and Vickie Rosenau.
Port Gardner Neighborhood Free Clean Up Dumpster Day! Saturday May 30th 2015 from 10:00-‐ 1:00 pm-‐Longfellow School Parking Lot This spring our neighborhood will host a free clean up day for Port Gardner residents. This clean up is being funded by our mini grant and a neighborhood block grant. We need ten volunteers to handle all the tasks . We will need greeters to sign people in and verify their addresses, direct traffic, set up a refreshment table, separate some items, help unload, pick up items from neighbors without transportation, set u p and b reak d own and just help in general. This will b e a great way to get some of our alleys cleaned up! Call today or email to volunteer. [email protected] or 425.870.6699. A full list of acceptable items will be listed in the May newsletter. Metal recycles will also be accepted. Thank you for volunteering! THE PORT GARDNER NEIGHBORHOOD STEERING COMMITTEE
