Our Summer Camp is an affordable and very enjoyable camp for children ages 6 to 12 (within the calendar year). The camp is full of fun activities and outings that your children will love! 2. What are the dates and Themes for the Summer Program? What is included in our Summer Camp? Pouch Cove Recreation is pleased to offer a camp that offers a variety of activities and events for all to enjoy. Here is a breakdown of what to expect during your summer camp experience. Two off site outing a week. A number of special visitors to camp. Special camp theme days (eg. Newfoundland Day). Varity of recreational activities. Arts and Crafts 4. What is the location of the Summer Camp? Our Summer Camp is located at the Stiles Cove Road Recreational Complex. 5. What are the Hours of Operation? Our Summer Camp runs Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. 6. How much does Summer Camp Cost? Pouch Cove Recreation strives to provide a very affordable summer camp. Our current rate is $90 per child per week. Additional children are just $50 extra per week. We also charge a $5 (per camper) t-shirt fee. Additional camp t-shirts are $5 each. 7. When is registration? Registration will be held on Wednesday, May 20th, from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Registration will take place at the Pouch Cove Town Hall. 8. What will I need for registration? In an attempt to speed up the registration process, all required documents will be posted on www.pouchcove.ca before registration. We strongly encourage residents to complete these forms and bring them to registration. 9. What is the method of payment? Residents are advised that changes have been made to the method of payments. We are pleased to now offer payments via cash, cheque, debit or credit cards (Visa or Mastercard). However, please be advised that payments are due in full on the night of registration. Pre – authorized payment plans will be available for individuals who wish to pay with postdated cheques or credit cards. There will be a separate form that needs to be completed at registration for this. If you wish to avail of the pre-authorized payment plan, please note that your payments will be collected on the following days. How much food should I pack in my child’s bag for lunch? Every day the camp will stop all activities for a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack (healthy food). Please pack enough food and drinks for each of these times. With all the activities that we do, please pack enough water for your child so they can drink throughout the day. Please do not pack any type of nuts (tree nuts or peanuts) fish, or eggs as we must provide a safe and allergy free environment for all children in the camp. 11. What should my child bring for the day? Lots of food and water will be needed as your child will be active all day. The summer sun can be very dangerous, so we ask children to bring their own sunscreen and wear appropriately clothing and a hat. Of course, extra clothes always come in handy if something was to rip or become dirty while playing outside. Don’t forget a jacket as the temperature can change very quickly each day. Electronic devices are NOT permitted.
