T-Series 24V Cash Drawer Specification The PowaPOS T-Series point-of-sale uses an industry standard 24V cash drawer port. This interface allows for direct cash drawer control without requiring an added RS232 or USB interface board at the cash drawer. The PowaPOS cash drawer port design is based on the Printer Cash Drawer Kick-out interface commonly used on Epson and other printer models. Cable Requirements Existing 24V cash drawers that are connected to Epson, Citizen, Bixolon, Samsung, DH, Logic Controls, Okidata, and Olivetti receipt printers can typically be reused without cable changes. Existing 24V cash drawers that are connected to other printer models, or that are connected directly to POS terminals, may also be reused but will require a cable change. IMPORTANT: In either case, you must validate that your cable meets the specification below to connect from the T25 to the cash drawer. The most common connector configuration is below. - Connection - Physical Interface at POS (printer kick-out model) A standard RJ12 connector is used at the POS terminal. The pin-out is below.
