Prairie Plains Fun Run June 6, 2015 - Marquette, Nebraska --5k/10k Run/Walk-Please join us for a fun, challenging run through the prairie at the Griffith Prairie and Farm on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. Race Information: $20.00 registration fee for runners and walkers. Registration fee includes a t-shirt. Please register by May 27, 2015. Both the 5K and 10K runs will begin at 9:00 AM with the walk beginning five minutes later. Directions: Griffith Prairie and Farm is near Marquette, NE and north and west of Aurora, NE. Nebraska Highway 14 to Marquette corner, 4 miles west on 22 Road, 0.5 north on M Road. Or from Highway 30 east of Chapman, NE, turn south on Bader Park Rd, 3.5 miles to Platte River, east on 21 Road 3.5 miles, north on M Road 1.5 miles. Registration: Please arrive by 8:30 a.m. to check-in. Course Description: Race will begin and end by the construction site of the Charles L. Whitney Education Center. Course is a mowed prairie trail with some steep hills and rugged terrain. Enjoy the beautiful scenery through 275 acres of tall-grass prairie and views of the Platte River.
