Ans : When will the tuitions commence? Tuitions for both the courses A and B will commence in THIRD WEEK OF JUNE. Exact date will be intimated to the admitted students. 2. Ans : When can we take the admissions? What is the last date for taking admissions? As we have already started with the admissions, you can get the admission right now. As the students go on taking the admissions our batches keep filling. When the required number of students is taken in we will be closing the admissions. So it’s really difficult to predict when we will close the admissions or what will be last date. 3. Ans : Are the courses A and B conducted separately? No, both the courses A and B will be conducted at par. However the students, who will be taking admission for course A, will have additional separate lectures for C.E.T/J.E.E. and at all such times the students admitted to course B will not have to attend those lectures. 4. Ans : How many students will be there in every batch? There will be 35 to 40 students in every batch. 5. Ans : When are the tuitions conducted? What will be the batch timings? Batches will be allotted as per the college timings. Initially all the students will be allotted batches at random. Once their admissions in the colleges are confirmed, they will be allotted batches accordingly. Usually, at Charni Road, XI std lectures are in morning and XII std lectures are in the afternoon or evening. PRASANNA PANDIT’S MATHEMATICS ACADEMY 6. Ans : 7. Ans : 2 PROSPECTUS What is the procedure to take admission to this academy? What are the documents required? To take admission, a form has to be filled up giving the details asked in it. The student or his parent can fill this form. Along with this form the student needs to submit : (i) Two recent passport size colour photographs (ii) An attested photocopy of his IX / X Std. Mark list whichever is latest and (iii) Pay the first installment of fees. In case we have not decided about which course to pursue or whether we will give Maths C.E.T./J.E.E. or not then what should be done? We admit students to the course of their choice. In the present scenario it is extremely difficult for any student to prepare for both the entrance exams together. We suggest that a student seriously decides on one of the entrance exams and prepare thoroughly for it. The student needs to make a choice within 3 months and then attend lectures of that particular course. Students and parents may seek advice from the teachers and then decide. 8. Ans : Who will be teaching in the Academy? Looking at the vastness of the syllabus, it is evident that one person cannot single handedly complete the entire syllabus. We will need to take the help of the other teachers to complete the entire syllabus. Therefore other qualified, experienced and reputed teachers under the strategic guidance of Prof. Prasanna Pandit will teach some topics. 9. Ans : How is the portion covered? Is the portion covered as per college exams? As we are starting the classes early we should be able to cover majority of the portion for the college exams. However, as there is no uniformity in the portion for college exams, sometimes we may not be able to complete the entire syllabus as per the college exam schedule for all students. We will try to cover such syllabus, which will benefit majority of the students for college exams. Basically our entire emphasis in XI std. is to make the basic concepts very clear and the focus is not entirely based on XI std. exams. 10. Ans : Are there any fixed vacations ? When do you give Holidays? Vacations will be announced from time to time. Usually we do give vacations immediately after the J.E.E. (MAINS) exam of the preceding batch. Also during major festivals like Diwali, we will be giving vacations to XI std. students. When students will be in XII std., holidays don’t have any fixed schedule. It depends upon the portion covered and further requirement of time. If you are planning on vacations and need to do booking etc. you can always inquire about the holidays at that time. 11. Ans : Do you give holidays during college exams ? Different colleges have their exams at different times therefore to maintain uniformity, we do not give holidays to any students during the college exams. During such times the student has to plan his studies in advance so that he can attend the tuitions even when the college exams are in progress. Remaining absent from the classes is detrimental to the academic interest of the student and often leads to difficulty in understanding the further portion due to discontinuity. However, the student will be exempted from doing the home work and writing tuition tests at all such times when the college exams are in progress. Also we take care that the tuition timings do not clash with the college exam timings. PRASANNA PANDIT’S MATHEMATICS ACADEMY PROSPECTUS 3 12. Ans : Can a student take admission for either XI or XII standard only? The new portion has been so framed and divided that to understand a topic well a student needs to learn the chapters in both XI and XII. Many chapters start in XI std. and are further continued in XII std. There are some chapters in XI std., which should be known thoroughly to understand the related chapter of XII std. So, in the interest of the student, you must take admission for both XI and XII std. 13. What is the fee structure for H.S.C. and/or J.E.E. (MAINS), and what is the mode of payment?
