Electrical Drives Jet Wiper – new wiper arm Innovation for more safety Unlike conventional systems, which cover large areas of the windshield, there is no longer spray dust affecting the driver’s view. Today’s conventional windshield washing systems are designed for a certain speed: as speed increases, so does airflow, which diverts the fluid spray, less fluid reaches the wiper area and cleaning effectiveness is reduced. The Jet Wiper applies precisely the right amount of washer fluid in exactly the right place. This setup ensures washer fluid is used efficiently and decreases fluid consumption by up to 50 percent. Jet Wiper Technical features ▶Integration of washer nozzle elements into wiper arm Use of standard wiper blades The Jet Wiper does not require any special wiper blade as it works perfectly with standard commercial wiper blades. The blade change is as known and the driver does not incur any additional costs. ▶Elimination of nozzle elements from the hood Winterproof thanks to integrated heating ▶Heated hoses and nozzles The system is fully heatable to support winter perfor- Customer benefits ▶Clear visibility at all driving conditions mance: a temperature sensor signal activates switch-on of heating for hose and nozzle elements. ▶Effective cleaning at any driving speed Bosch’s system and networking expertise ▶Reduced consumption of washer fluid The Jet Wiper provides value through a holistic system ▶Lower weight reduces CO₂, alternatively approach enabling additional customer benefits and increase of driving distance keeps costs firmly under control. ▶Use of standard wiper blades Clear visibility enhances safety With the new Jet Wiper system a new era on the windshield starts: nozzle elements, integrated into the wiper arm, spray the washer fluid directly on top of the wiper blade, without spray covered windshield impairing the driver’s view. Mode of operation The wash fluid is applied directly along the wiper blade using adjusted nozzle elements to distribute it selectively onto the windshield.
