Prayer
If you’d like to receive prayer requests, prayer updates and praise reports, please email Elaine Hutt ([email protected]), and you will be added to our Prayer Warriors email distribution list. Missions Comprenew has selected Providence Church for May fundraising through an electronic recycling drive. During the month of May, drop off your electronics (basically anything with a cord) at Comprenew (11379 East Lakewood Blvd.) with no cost to you (old TVs with a tube, large monitors, and appliances with refrigerant will have a minimal cost to recycle). Be sure to mention Providence Church! Comprenew is open MON‐SAT, 10A–6P. Questions? Go to Comprenew.org or call Addision (616.355.4229). Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity Stud‐raiser Sponsor a stud ($20 suggested), and write inspirational and encouraging messages to the Pedraza family on Sunday, May 31. Please see the May Pulse for more ways to help build a home and hope in our community with your time, talent and treasure. Questions? Contact Sheri Thomassen (616.396.5661 X.100). Community
Community Café – Wednesday, May 13 Join us for a delicious homemade buffet dinner from 5:30 ‐ 6:30 PM. The Café is a great place to get to know our community friends. Give it a try! Today is the last day to sign‐up for 9‐holes of fun and frustration as we build community at Diamond Springs Golf Course. Dinner starts this Saturday, May 16, at 5:30 PM, with shotgun start at 6:30 PM. Cost $15 (includes golf, dinner and cart). Sign up on the bulletin board in the Lobby or email Braden Stradley ([email protected]) TODAY with the names of those in your group. You may sign up as an individual, foursome, or anything in between. Need more information? Go to www.providencechurch.net, Facebook or email Braden. Hospitality
Community Action House (CAH) refurbishes bikes and sells them inexpensively to those who need transportation. Funds raised help support CAH's Holland Community Kitchen, Holland Community Garden, food pantries and various educational programs. Bikes and other donations may be brought to the General Store (694 Michigan Ave.), Mon.‐Fri. 10A‐6P and Sat. 10A‐4P. It's spring and a great time to get unused bikes out of your way and into the hands of someone who needs one! Providence Perk Volunteer Coordinator We’re hoping to fill the Sunday morning volunteer Perk Coordinator position in the next month or two. If you have the gift of hospitality and a heart to serve others, please call Braden (616.396.5661 X.110). Children
There are still a few open spots for our first two weeks of Summer Sundays! Please check out the board in the Lobby, and sign up TODAY! Thanks! KidzQuest kids will be dismissed during the service today. All children ages 2‐1/2 through 5th grade are invited to join us! Today in KidzQuest:  252 Basics (K‐5th Gr.) This week we will talk about Jacob and Esau. Jacob was sneaky and with his mother’s helped, conned his brother Esau out of his blessing. Bottom Line: When you are not truthful, you can hurt the people you care about. May Verse: “Keep me from cheating and telling lies. Be kind and teach me your law.” Ps. 119:29  First Look (PreK) Nehemiah led an entire city to rebuild their wall. We can help others by leading them to accomplish a task. May Verse: “Be kind and loving to each other.” Ephesians 4:32 Dates to Remember:  May 17th is the last day of KidzQuest  May 24th (Memorial Day weekend) There will be a “Wiggle Room” in the KidZone (up the stairs in the Lobby) starting at 10:15 AM for any child age 2½ ‐ 2nd grade who needs a place to wiggle and play!  May 31st Summer Sundays begins! Kids age 2½ ‐ going into 1st grade may check in at the beginning of the service. More details coming soon! May 10, 2015 Students

The tree leaves today, and the donation box will remain until next Sunday. Donations will be divided up equally among participants. Questions? Contact Braden ([email protected]). A little late picking up something for Mom? We have your back. The high school students will have beautiful quart perennials available today (and next week) after each service for a suggested donation of $5 each. Stop by the north side lot, pick out half a dozen, then head to Mom’s house. The vibrant plants were generously donated, so 100% of the proceeds will support the Philadelphia Mission trip!
