Open Call for Artists – Poster Show

Open Call for Artists
Providence CityArts for Youth seeks artists
for a group show in June, 2015
Deadline to submit: April 27, 2015
Show Dates: June 8 – June 30, 2015
About this show:
Walk into any coffee shop in our fair city, and one thing is abundantly clear: we have some incredible poster designers in
Providence. For our next exhibition, CityArts seeks to highlight these amazing artists with a gallery show devoted to
posters! The exhibition will also feature the work of CityArts young artists made during our Spring Session of afterschool
art classes. This is a rare and incredibly empowering opportunity for our youth to exhibit alongside professional artists in
their city.
Artists are invited to submit previous work, or new work to the show. We would like poster submissions to portray a
message, whether to promote an event or idea. With this exhibition, we hope to show our young artists the power of
graphic messaging through a variety of printmaking techniques.
The opening for this show will be on the calendar for the Providence International Arts Festival.
