Please join us for an evening of exquisite dining, musical entertainment, and
celebration on Saturday, May 16, in honor of Providence’s 110th Anniversary Gala!
This black-tie event for nearly 1,000 of our special friends will be held at the Waco
Convention Center’s Chisholm Hall. Festivities begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m.
followed by a seated, formal dinner at 7:30 p.m.
MUSIC
Highlighting our gala celebration will be the world-renowned orchestra band, PINK MARTINI!
With their eclectic sound that combines classical, jazz and old-fashioned pop, PINK MARTINI has
performed their multilingual repertoire on concert stages across the globe. Thomas Lauderdale,
founding member of PINK MARTINI and former Portland, Oregon mayor candidate, was
inspired to create a “little orchestra” in 1994 after he discovered that the musical entertainment
at political fundraisers tended to be underwhelming. PINK MARTINI unexpectedly found
overnight success in Europe with their “Song of the Year” nominated (at France’s Victoires de la
Musique Awards) hit “Sympathique.” They went on to perform in Europe, Asia, Greece, Turkey,
the Middle East…the list goes on! They even broke into the movie industry with their song
“Dream a Little Dream” made famous by The Sound of Music. You can be sure to hear these
PINK MARTINI classic hits and many more at our outstanding gala!
Following their performance, members of PINK MARTINI will appear backstage to visit and
take photos with our top gala sponsors. The partying will continue when THE ALL NIGHTS band
hits the stage for some high energy, late night dancing!

ROVIDENCE FOUNDATION was established in 1993 to provide financial and
material support to Providence Healthcare Network. Since its founding, thousands
of generous donors have contributed to Providence Foundation benefiting
Providence Healthcare Network to the tune of over $20 million dollars via biannual grant
funding cycles and restricted gifts. Thanks to the support of our donors, including our
faithful event sponsors, over $313,000 was granted during FY2014 to purchase vital
medical equipment and fulfill other capital needs within PHN.
Providence Foundation donors have also generously given of themselves in support of
major gifts designated specifically for capital projects, innovative technology, healthcare
programs/services, endowment funding, and continuing education scholarships. The
Foundation’s Major Gifts program helps connect a donor’s passions and interests to
pressing needs within Providence Healthcare Network truly resulting in the gift that keeps
on giving to all involved.
In addition to the vitally important annual giving groups highlighted to the right,
Providence associates contribute in a major way as well through the annual “Hands in
Giving” Associate Campaign. Last year, PHN associates contributed over $200,000 in
support of the Providence Park Long Term Care Endowment, the Pink Partner Fund, the
Employee Relief Fund, the Agape Fund, and the Unrestricted Fund.
