Pivot Netball Academy are hosting a number of School Holiday Clinics for players turning 8 – 14 years during the Aprils School Holidays. The Clinics are as follows: • 13th – 15th of April 2015 3 Day clinic at Charlestown Indoor Centre from 9am to 3pm daily. This clinic focuses on Individual ball handling, correction in catching and passing techniques, passing with movement, footwork, positional timing and decision making. • 16 – 17 of April 2015 2 Day clinic at Charlestown Indoor Centre from 9am to 3pm daily This clinic focuses on individual ball handling, correction in catching and passing techniques, passing with movement and footwork. Children also participate in fun Zumba class at Genetics Gym and a water aerobics class at Coughlin’s Swim Centre • 15th – 16th of April 2015 2 Day Specialist Clinic at Genesis Newcastle (Howzat) from 9am to 3pm daily. This clinic is for children turning 11 – 14 years of age only The Specialist Clinic is designed to work with children in the areas of Defence Circle, Mid Court and the Goal Shooting Circle. Players nominate their training preference from one of the 3 options and have specialist coaches working on techniques, strategy and positional play relating to their nominated positi Day 1 of this Clinic has a strong focus and training on all players developing full court defence. Players develop in 5 main areas including quick feet for intercepts, shutting of space, recovery for pressuring the attackers pass and tight one on one defence. Day 2 of the Specialist Clinic divides players into their nominated position of Defence Circle, Mid Court and Shooting Circle to develop strong techniques & strategies in players specific positions. Players will receive coaching and training for netball on court tactics to develop strength and understanding of the positions they play. Pivot Netball Academy have been operating since April 2012. We have received excellent feedback from Clubs, Associations, Parents and Players as we provide an interactive training with a focus on making technical corrections for players to maximise in their playing ability. In the few years that Pivot Netball Academy has hosted Clinics, we now have children from all over the Hunter, the Central Coast and Sydney attending these Coaching and training opportunities. Pivot netball is for players of all abilities with players being grouped accordingly.
