EVENT DAY SCHEDULE:
In consideration for being allowed to participate in the Runway 5K or 10K Run and
Walk (“Activity”) at Piedmont Triad International Airport, which is owned and operated
by the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority (PTAA), I agree as follows:
1. I am eighteen (18) years of age or older and desire to participate in the Activity or I am the
parent or legal guardian of a child under eighteen (“my child”) and desire to allow my child
to participate in the Activity;
2. I understand and accept any risks of participation in the Activity. My or my child’s participation
in whatever capacity is purely voluntary and on my own initiative, risk and responsibility;
3. I attest and verify that I or my child is physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the
completion of the event:
4. I, or I and my child, hereby release and forever discharge and hold harmless the PTAA,
sponsors and advertisers in or of the Activity and all their respective officials, administrators,
officers, agents, volunteers and employees acting officially or otherwise, as well as other
participants and any other individuals who are in any way associated with the Activity, from
any and all claims, demands, actions or causes of action arising from the Activity;
5. I or my child irrevocably give permission for the free use of my or his/her name and picture
in any written account, broadcast, or telecast of this event for any legitimate purpose;
6. I or my child understand and agree that if the Activity is cancelled because of circumstances
beyond the control of the Activity Committee and sponsors, including, but not limited to,
hazardous weather conditions or government ban, my entry fee will not be refunded.

The PTI 5K/10K on the Runway provides a smooth and flat surface. The
entire race/walk course will be on the 5L/23R 9,000-foot runway and will
provide a close-up view of the airport and surrounding area from the
airfield. The course is wheelchair accessible and baby stroller friendly.

Given the secure location of this run and for safety reasons, bikes, roller
blades and inline skates will not be allowed. Dogs and other pets are strictly
prohibited. The course will not be open prior to the 8 a.m. scheduled run.

Please allow adequate arrival time to include parking and
a shuttle ride to the race area.
REGISTRATION/ENTRY FEES:
Pre-register at reduced rates by completing the attached
pre-registration form. Mail in form with payment at least one week
before race day. Or pre-register online at www.ptirun.com. You may
also register at the airport on the day of the event.
Entry fees are non-refundable. Do not mail entries after May 30.
Entries accepted on Day of Event.
T-shirts cannot be guaranteed for Race Day registrants.

5K Run
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Packets will be available for pick-up 1- 6 p.m. Thursday June 4, and
10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday June 5, at Omega Sports store locations in
Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem. The stores are located at
2431 Battleground Avenue, Greensboro; 209 Eastchester Drive, High Point;
and 414 S. Stratford Road, Winston-Salem. Go to OmegaSports.net for
directions. Packets will also be available for pickup at the race site on
Run/Walk Day. Please check www.ptirun.com for updates.
Please remember food donations of two non-perishable items will be
accepted at packet pickup.

Follow “Special Events” signs to parking lot when you reach the
airport. Volunteers will be on site to assist you. A shuttle bus will
take you from the parking area to the runway. Shuttles will run
continuously between the parking lot and the runway until race
time. The shuttles will begin running again at 8:30 until all
participants have been shuttled to their cars.

I-40 West to exit 212B, merge onto Greensboro Urban Loop (future 73),

THE PIEDMONT TRIAD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
will host its sixth annual 5K Run/Walk
Saturday, June 6, 8:00 a.m.
on the airport’s 5L/23R 9,000-foot runway.
This certified run is being held to fight hunger in the Triad.
Please bring two items of non-perishable food with you
to packet pickup to help us fill the Triad’s food pantries.
There will also be a 10K run.
All are invited to come out to run the

or to take part in a runway walk.
