PXF LIGHTING WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS
I. General warranty terms & conditions
1. PXF Lighting's commercial goods and products (further: „the goods”) come with a warranty. Except
for materials with a natural process of wear, such as light sources, batteries, etc.
2. Warranty is granted for a certain period of time depending on a product:
a) LED luminaires of PXF Lighting's production – standard 36 months, extended – not applicable
b) Other luminaires produced by PXF Lighting – Standard 24 months, extended – optional 36
months and 60 months (OSRAM's warranty)
c) Luminaires distributed by PXF: Standard 24 months, extended – 36 months
d) Emergency power supply modules: Standard – 24 months, extended – not applicable
e) Monitoring system for emergency lighting: Standard – 12 months, extended 24 and 36
months (detailed requirements are defined in the monitoring system's producer warranty
terms)
f) Motion sensors – Standard 12 months, extended – not applicable
3. Products sold by PXF LIGHTING but produced by other companies are covered by their warranty
terms.
4. The warranty period begins with the day of issuing an invoice by PXF.
5. Client receives a standard warranty, described above, routinely. At the request of the client, PXF
LIGHTING – after conducting a detailed assessment – can provide the client with the 'extended
warranty' or 'custom design warranty'.
6. Client shouldn't base his knowledge on any other information than found in the PXF LIGHTING
warranty terms & conditions.
7. Warranty covers only products' defects resulting from defects within the product itself; such as
caused by manufacturing defects, design errors and flaws or defects in used materials.
8. In order to benefit from a warranty, the product has to be appropriately stored, installed and used in
accordance with the manual.

9. Warranty does not cover:
a) mechanical, thermal, chemical damage or any other caused by act and omission or under the
influence of external factors (such as: surges in the network, lighting, use contrary to operating
instructions, damage caused by foreign factors which spilled into the product like moisture,
corrosion, dust etc.);
b) damage caused by natural wear – partial or complete;
c) errors in connecting to power supply
d) damage caused by:
− improper installation by unqualified personnel,
− improper use of the goods, in contrary to specification and instructions,
− improper maintenance,
− changes in the product construction made by the user or any other person;
− circumstances which are not caused by the manufacturer nor the seller and in particular as a
result of improper installation, use or any other reason caused by the user or any other person
(use of non-original materials and accessories); intentional damage
10. Representative of PXF LIGHTING has a right to access the defected products. If these products or any
other components will raise the representative's doubts, he has the right to consult any other
manufacturer's representative.
11. Proof of purchase must be made available to PXF LIGHTING
12. Warranty does not cover labor costs associated with the products' assembly and disassembly
13. PXF Lighting reserves the right to refuse to accept a complaint in case of breaching the principles set
out in points 2, 4, 5, 10.
14. Light sources may be covered by a separate warranty, as set out in general conditions of the
warranty set by their manufacturer.

II. Specific conditions
1. PXF LIGHTING gives the warranty only to the buyer. If a product covered by this warranty will be
returned by the buyer accordingly to the section III (warranty claims) within the warranty period
specified above and PXF LIGHTING confirms that the product does not meet the terms of a warranty,
PXF LIGHTING is to repair or replace a defected part. However, in both cases, PXF LIGHTING does not
cover costs of activities related to removal or reinstallation of the product, in particular labor costs.
2. Representatives, distributors and dealers are not authorized to make any changes, expansion or
adjustments to the warranty terms and conditions on behalf of the PXF LIGHTING.
3. This warranty applies only to products that have been properly wired, installed and used in
accordance to the indications on the power, the scope and environmental conditions specified in
proper guidelines for applications, IEC standards and any other documents that come with the
product. If the products prove to be defective or to work unaccordingly with the relevant
specifications, the buyer must send written complaint form to PXF LIGHTING. PXF LIGHTING reserves
the right to make the final decision of the validity of the warranty claim.
4. This warranty does not apply in cases of inability to act nor when the damages result from random
events, abuse, misuse or use in violation of standards, rules and instruction – in particular applicable
in a certain region, latest industry standards concerning safety (including electrical safety).
5. This warranty loses its validity if repairs and modifications were made to the product without a
written authorization from the PXF LIGHTING.

III. Warranty claims
1. All warranty periods mentioned in this document are applicable, provided that the representative of
the PXF LIGHTING will have guaranteed access to the defective product or system in order to carry
out its review.
2. The procedure in case of confirming the product defect is detailed in the warranty procedure,
annexed to the PXF warranty term & conditions. If the warranty claim proves to be justified, PXF
LIGHTING covers the shipping costs. If product is not found to be defective or fulfilling the warranty,
PXF LIGHTING may charge the customer with the costs of delivery as well as testing and handling
costs.
3. The terms of this warranty constitute the entire responsibility and liability of PXF LIGHTING to the
buyer and the means available to the buyer to fix the defected products provided by the PXF
LIGHTING.
4. This warranty excludes liability of PXF LIGHTING for products installation, providing access to products
(lifts, scaffolding etc.), special, incidental and consequential damages (including loss of profits,
damage to property or other costs previously not included).
5. PXF LIGHTING is not responsible for the conditions of power supply, including voltage spikes, too
high/low voltage or a current ripple control systems which do not meet the criteria specified for the
products, including those defined in relevant standards. (eg. Standard EN 50160)
