BUS TRANSPORTATION: As per the QACPS transportation department, students are
only permitted to ride their own school bus home from school. Due to overcrowding,
students are no longer allowed to ride a different bus home unless there is an
emergency situation. This means students are no longer allowed to ride a bus home
with a friend even with a note from parents. This practice is in place at all schools in the
county.
TEXT-A-TIP: QACPS continues to participate in this program to help combat bullying.
Students and parents will have the ability to text messages, pictures, or videos to report
bullying or other concerning behaviors. The Text2Them program is a private two way
conversation that provides detailed information about the incident. This information is
then sent to administrators to assist them in investigating these issues. To text a tip, text
QACOUNTYHS to 68398.
