Both the City of Quesnel and the Quesnel Cariboo Observer, as co-sponsors of the Annual Quesnel Volunteer Citizen of the Year award, recognize and appreciate the efforts of the many who so willingly give of their time and talents to contribute to Quesnel’s enviable community spirit and pride. We ask that your group or individual members consider submitting a nomination for the 2014 Quesnel Volunteer Citizen of the Year. A nominee does not need to be a member of your group. In fact, we encourage you to look to the community at large. Please note that nominees must consent in writing to being nominated and that two people are required to make the nomination. Attached to this letter is a list of the 34 past Volunteer Citizens of the Year, each selected from their peers, by their peers, on the basis of their voluntary contributions to our community. A nomination form is also attached and is available at www.quesnel.ca or at City Hall. We ask that you please submit your nomination by 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015 by dropping it off at the front desk of City Hall or to the Quesnel Cariboo Observer, faxing to 250-991-7496 or emailing to [email protected]. This years’ 35th annual Dinner and Awards event will be held in the Royal Canadian Legion Hall on Tuesday, April 21st to coincide with Canada’s National Volunteer Week. Tickets for the banquet will be made available for sale at Quesnel City Hall. Please consider nominating a worthy Quesnel Volunteer Citizen of the Year from your group or from the community at large.
