EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Construction of New Council Depot
Expressions of Interest closing 2pm Friday 10 April 2015 with the undersigned are hereby invited for
construction of a new Council Depot in Quilpie, Queensland.
The project predominantly includes construction of a single level building of mixed construction consisting
of a workshop/store portion approximately 1800m2 under roof (60m × 24m × 6.5m enclosed), slab on
ground with steel portal frame (with kit shed option); and an adjoining office portion approximately 900m2
under roof, slab on ground with timber/steel frame, all with associated sub-trade works. The contract will
also include items such as site electrical and plumbing installation, but will exclude major site works.

A shortlist will be prepared from submissions received, based on an analysis of weighted selection
criteria. Notwithstanding such analysis, Council reserves the right to select those submissions that in view
of all the circumstances appear to be the most advantageous.
It is envisaged that tenders will be called from shortlisted Offerors late April 2015, closing mid to late May.
The contract will be awarded mid June, with commencement date expected to be mid to late June.
Contract period for the Depot project will be eighteen (18) weeks unless otherwise agreed at tender
stage. It is intended that the project will be at Practical Completion by Christmas 2015.
